last day of the month again! 

really seemed to have a crisis towards every yr-end.

ya. kenna sabo-ed by my helper again.

just when i tot she was still quite happy working for me (she bought me presents, remember????).... 

she threw the bomb on me. 

haaaaix. 

ya. 

是我不好,千错万错都是我的错ok.....

darn. to lose a helper at this time is really uncalled for! 

helpers are in shortage and the agencies are charging rocket-high fee! 

perhaps that's why she threw me the bomb, cuz she knows she is in high demand.

anyway, had been almost a week since she's gone.

initially we decided perhaps its time to stop hiring.

but alas, after (almost) a week, i think.... stop the struggle ba. just hire again ba. 

not that we cannot do, but it is just toooooooo time consuming.

once the boys reach home, it's almost non-stop actions till we sleep 

1) unpack bag, collect the dirty uniforms, throw into the washing machine - 10mins

2) shower the boys - 20mins

3) wash water bottles - 10mins

4) lay table for dinner - 10mins

5) finish dinner, wash dishes - 20mins

6) cut fruits, wash dishes (again) after that - 10mins 

7) wash masks (damn) - 10mins

8) pack school bags - 10mins

9) hang clothes - 20mins

10) throw rubbish and close windows - 10mins

11) prepare the boys to sleep - brush teeth, go toilet, change pjs etc - 15mins

all in, already 2hrs+. really! 

and not withstanding things that we had to do BEFORE they come home eg keep and fold the laundry, cook and wash the dishes, vaccuum, mop and wash the carpets etc which i refused to use the washing machine to wash. 

lucky now wfh, still can do abit here and there where possible. if i go back work... nothing will get done during the day liao. 

so......... ya.... 还是请个helper ba. 

this time round, i really must 收敛 le. 

if not, 吃亏的只会是我自己。

No more self serve buffet.. All is by order. 

Now come to think about it, on hindsight, those self serve buffet in the past are really quite unhygenic.. 

Everybody can just walk past the food, see see look look, smell, stir, chit chat and saliva all over or worse... Just ah-chew on them...

hoho, went try out this slappy cake restaurant.. went to the outlet at grandstand.

ok, the whole gimmick about this slappy cake is - DIY pancakes! 

ya, u get to choose the batter and the sides. the batter comes in 4 flavour - buttermilk, pandan, chocolate, peanut butter. each at $8.50+. then can also choose the sides, different sides different price. 

and can start making once choice done! 

we chose the chocolate and pandan batter. erm, the chocolate flavour is too rich for a pancake i feel. not very nice. pandan is ok. next time shall try the buttermilk.

tada! 

fun to play and quite nice to eat la. hahaha. just that when it's overcooked, it became biscuit rather than pancake... ha

yup, not too bad, quite fun. haha. jus that with the kids, abit difficult to concentrate and make a nice pancake. 

and, i think it's my first time to the grandstand. one really ulu shopping mall with nothing much inside, except for a few F&B. but there was one ultra huge HAO mart inside - probably the only place to 'shop' there. 

ha. 

looks like this HAO mart is up and coming. just like in the past, sheng shiong was a brand which i had never heard of... and now.. wow.. not bad at all. 

so, this HAO mart... i have high hopes on it.

Ahhhh. 

My boy's little tooth has finally dropped out! 

Finally, cuz it has been shaky for a while already. And he has been asking why hasnt dropped off yet. And we had to pre-empt him quite abit just in case he gets a shock when they finally dropped. 

Haha. 

In fact, a few of them are shaky liao. I also scare when I help him brush his teeth. 

Eek. 

Lucky he was quite chilled while it really dropped off. Lol

Yup. Having 1st tooth grown out is a milestone.

Dropping off the 1st tooth sure is a milestone too! 

I honestly think teeth will not make someone, but it definitely will break someone. 

To put it simply, having a nice set of teeth may not make u look better. But, having a bad set of teeth sure will make u look uglier. 

Yup. 

So.. Hopefully his perm teeth can grow out nice neat n strong yeaaaa.

really how time flies... 

poor MIL fell down while travelling overseas..... happened 1yr ago! 

whoot!

1yr le, passed just like that... omg.

yup, back then, i was really thrown into the deep end. suddenly no more MIL to help take care of the children.... OMG.

and i know this sounded really wrong, but i really had COVID19 to thank to.

if no COVID19, it probably will still be MAD RUSH for us every single day. mad and senseless rush honestly. 

heng got COVID19 (ok, very wrong again), that we get to wfh and really really more flexible and less of a crazy senseless rush. 

else, i probably had died of heart attack, frustration, tiredness and/or depression liao.

yup, so 1yr down, MIL has recovered alot. she's able to walk unassisted now, though would still prefer to hold onto something like an umbrella or trolley. think she has also resumed many of the activities such as cooking, marketing etc. 

so, hubb sounded her the other day, and apparently, MIL appears to be more than happy to help us fetch the children back from school and cook dinner for them.

wow. 

that would mean less rush for hubb who is the one fetching them now.. and probably means we can go back to having some of the 'after-work' pak-tor time. 

yuumm.

but, i also worry if MIL can cope. though the situation now should be easier than last time. in the past she had to go 2x. 1x to fetch raythorous, 2nd time to fetch rayous (cuz she cannot handle if both kids come home together). but now, she just has to go 1x to fetch both together, as both boys are much stable and 'guai' than they were 1yr ago. 

but then.... she really can cope ma?? and i also super scare they gei kiang and do things out of their limits........ like bringing the kids go out play la.... or carry the kids la... etc.. 

the last thing i need is for anybody to get hurt. 

eeeeek 

so, dont know lor. though MIL seems receptive to helping us fetch the boys again, i really dont know if should restart engaging her help or not. 

perhaps when i need to go back office to work ba, then will seek her assistance again. 

ok la, at least now we got more options....

anyway, celebrated on 18th friday.. without the kiddos! yay.

yummy breakfast at this same restaurant that we went to on one of our off-day... this time smart liao, dont order too much, cuz the portion is really big. 

after that, went to our yacht club at sentosa... 

spot our yacht at the back.

ok la, not our club la. just that we booked a massage session there, and got complimentary access to the pool.. 

heheheheee. shiok hor.

yup, after that was the massage.... before going to vivo for early dinner. wanted to check out if there was any mooncake fair, and indeed, dont have. boohoo.

双十节!!

remb that v-day event organised by the NC in my development that i was soo looking forward to???

yup, it was postponed due to COVID..

and since there is no 'see-able' future that large-scale events can be resumed, the organisers decided to use today 10.10 to post-celebrate the v-day. ha.

tada! elaborated le bah?? was quite surprised really. 

the original event was supposed to include dinner and a renewal of marriage vows to be witnessed by a solemniser. but now no more liao. just photo-takings.

quite fun really. act like wedding shoot again.

and that's our souvenir. it's a cup that will revealed our pic when hot water is poured into it.... 

try spotting our pic on the cup as it slowly unveils.....
