The PhotoShooT

our photoshoot results... as said, we were entitled to 30pics... and we did not pay extra for any even though they kept pyschoing us to.. lol. overall quite satisfied with the results lah. on hindsight, i thought we chose too many indoor/outdoor pics with the white gowns liao. abit sad for the evening gowns, cuz din really choose many... esp the pink gown... only 2 pics..

this is one of hubb's favorite. i personally think this has been over photoshopped. the overly slimmed arm just doesnt quite make sense.

one of my fave

yeah, only 2 pics selected for the pink gown. how sad right...

this was chosen as the welcome pic displayed on the actual day on our ballroom's digital screens

this was selected to print on our wedding cards

with ah kang!!! yes, i brought him along! y the photographer did not ask me to lift ah kang's head up? grrr

our self-made props

outdoor shoot.. our 1st destination... MBS skypark

this was selected to be on our photo-booth's photos overlay design

this was selected to be blown up and be the big size portrait. quite amazing how photoshop can do wonders, cuz the final end results did not have those 2 extra pax in the background

and same goes for this.... all the pple in the background vanished in the final edited version!! amazing

@ botanic garden. before we went, i told myself i do not want to take pic with that shelter behind. ive seen countless wedding pics with that shelter in the background lah.  but in the end, we still took.. and also spent quite a bit of time taking this shelter. wad the... and the worse thing was, we actually selected this pic! ha. ok lah, to be fair, this was quite nicely taken lah.

with the portrait that was drawn in genting. despite not resembling us (or rather, me only), we still wanted it to be in the shoot, cuz that's the reason why we wanted to have our portrait drawn in the 1st place.

still at botanic garden. seriously, should have changed gown for this location. we did not, cuz rushing for time. so ended up w so many pics with the white gown and not many w the evening gowns. they actually had this mobile foldable tent which will be set-up whenever need to change outfit. quite interesting, really.

at sentosa! wanted to take the sand, sea, sun, and sky. but we arrived too late le. must be spent too much time at the botanic shelter liao! grrrr

the bubble shot. yeah, we had everyone to help blow the bubbles.  so, for this gown, only 3 pics chosen. haii.

back to MBS area. in order to save time, while queuing to get into the car park for the cars to be parked, the tent was set-up at the roadside pavement for me to change. what an experience lah! changing at the pavement while cars continue to drove pass...

yeah, so that's all the 30 pics. too many white gowns and too few evening gowns i think. also missed out the sun, sea, sand and sky. other than that, we were satisfied. sorry to say, but i've seen some other pple's photoshoot, which really totally cannot make it. so, im quite thankful, ours turned out to be quite ok. heh.

The Wedding Gowns

guess who were the 1st person who saw me in wedding gown?

hoho, 2 of my ex-colleagues!

yeah..it was back in 2012 I think.... they had been pestering me to go try out gowns so that they could revive the excitement of gowns-trying.. and so one fine lunch day,  we just made our way down to tanjong pagar and went into Julia. then they were saying that each week they shall accompany me to check out the various bridal shops in tanjong pagar. that of cuz did not happen lah... we only went once to Julia and tried once, that's all.

anyway, as said, I've been to my bridal shop for unknown times, and tried out don't know how many gowns. that's the luxury of having sufficient time... lol... we just went down and try as and when we liked! of cuz must try more, then will know which one more suitable mah. afterall, money already paid. must try as many as possible right....?!

u will realised from the pictures, my fringe actually went from short to long, back to short then long again. that should give u an idea how many times and over how long a period i took to try the gowns. lol

the very 1st gown i donned on from my bridal shop

i knew right from the start that i wanted a halter neck..... this looks similar to my actual day gown, but it's not. apparently this piece is the treasure of the shop. zhen dian zhi bao... haha.. saw frm photos that many brides had worn it before. if you go to their shop at liang seah street, the model at the signage was also wearing this gown..

for pre-wedding shoot, i was entitled to 2 white gowns and 3 evening gowns. actual day is 1 each. so really must try try try!!!

so in the end...... below few pieces were the selected ones....

for indoor pre-wedding photoshoot

for outdoor pre-wedding photoshoot

the evening gown for the indoor shoot

and the two evening gowns for outdoor shoot

so, what i deemed as the best had been selected for photoshoot. so what's left for actual day, which supposedly should be more crucial than photoshoot?

yeah, had a hard time choosing the 2 gowns for actual day..... esp for the evening gown..

in the end shortlisted 2 evening gowns, and i really had a hard time deciding b/w them. asked so many pple for opinions lah.

this blue was my 1st love. but i was told that this gown will not be available on my actual day.

so, this gown was the alternative. initially i decided on this gown already. but kept thinking if it is too simple, and i don't really like the off-blue color..... but then again, it looks elegant and princessy....

versus this purple one which i also liked..... but... abit affected by the black color part which looks like a black bra...... and also wondering if the color is too dark and will appear to be too old....

when i asked for opinions, there were votes for both, but more preferred the blue than the purple. in the end, of cuz, i chose the purple lah cuz i tot it's more special and not as simple. and i was glad that many who had seen it in real, said it looked better than in photos! haaahaahhahaa.

for the  actual day white gown, no qualms. this is the choice! halterneck!

for the qua, their choices are quite limited. so din really have to choose. they just gave me what they have. there was one which i tot was better than the one which they gave me, but the size was too big and no other sizes.

and then, later on, i was told that both gowns which i chose, were designed by my actual day make-up artist! steady lah!

the photos shown here were only a few of the many which i tried. all in all, i was happy to have been able to try on soo many gowns before deciding on the selected ones. heehehe im one fortunate arse =)
