it's teachers' day again!!

gotta help this boy to wrap the presents again.. lucky tmr not working. woohooo! 

and, we were at jurong point and all the shops we went to, were having long q, apparently buying presents for teachers' day. especially popular bookshop! the q was like superrrrr looooong la. when did teachers' day become so popular huh??

anyway, tmr on leave to celebrate our wedding anniversary! woohoooo!! 

and friday, will be on leave too! 

seriously need a break from work.

NaTionaL Day 2018

happy national day!

like last year, we had a staycation at fullerton hotel. and this time round, we brought dear ah di along. woohoo! 

and this year, hubb upgraded the room where there is balcony view. so we can just view the fireworks from the balcony at our own comfort, unlike last year where we had to go to the roof top..

and then it just got too loud and overwhelming for the 2 boys. so we decided to close the door and view from inside the room instead. heng ah! still can hide inside the room. LOL

and then was an ice-cream treat at the restaurant...

like last yr, the kids are entitled to free ice-cream a scoop a day

and then also had our welcome drink at the lounge

breakfast buffet the next morning. really not easy dining w 2 kids. grrr

and this yr, the mascot bear apparently has a girlfriend! haha. last yr only 1 bear. this yr, 2!

no swim this yr, cuz too rush liao. but also good la, cuz it was very hot that day and super crowded that day also. 

apparently next yr ndp will be at the padang and hubb is already looking at a suitable hotel to stay at liao. ha. 

we've been balloting so many yrs for the ndp tix, but always no luck. but then if we really get the tixs, guess next yr, it still will be overwhelming for didi. 

ok, anyway, next yr then see how ba.

Last yr never bring didi. This yr brought him along liao. Now both sleeping liao.

Looking forward to the breakfast tmr.. cuz only had in room dining just now at about 5plus.. and now hungry liao.

Was eating breakfast at the hawker centre when this random uncle came to jio jio us to help him buy a lottery ticket.

I'm honestly not a Singapore pool supporter, but since he approached us, then OK lor, helped him bought this $2 ticket for $5. 有缘人吗。。

Who knows, maybe really so random and let me strike leh? 

结果。。。know what?

Chanced upon this eatery while out with the kids. Appears to be selling mala hotpot/steamboat, so couldn't give it a try as the kids were around. So today, happened to be alone,  and I gave it a try. 

 

Yes, it's mala 香锅, in the soup version!

I guess it's less sinful than the traditional 麻辣香锅, where all the ingredients are soaked in oil. This one all boil nia. So less guilty after eating.

And, instead of different ingredients having different prices, here is 100g for $2.68, regardless of what u choose. And no additional charge for the soup. Honestly, I still cannot come to term with the 麻辣香锅charging a price for the base itself.. what the..

And the good thing is,  I'm not thirsty after eating! Meaning it shld not be msg loaded.

Hoho.

The taste is not bad la. Of cuz not as 香 and don't have the wok 气, but overall still OK la. Still can satisfy the craving and with much less guilt.

Also can choose 酸菜soup or chicken soup if I'm not wrong. Somewhat like ytf, but the better 料, and more expensive la.

It's located at westgate level 4. Simple decor so I will call it a eatery rather than a restaurant.

Not bad, I can forsee myself being a frequent there liao.

Taiwan Trip Day 6 - 19/4/2018

day 6 of our tw trip. leaving cingjing that day. 

supposed to spend 1 night at cingjing and 1 night at alishan, but in the end, we forgo alishan cuz nothing much to see there. and lucky we forgo, cuz apparently, it's colder than cingjing!! phew! 

our minsu... no lift... had to climb a slope and many many flights of stairs, before we can reach the room. pity the guy who had to help us with the luggages. 

so day 6, we went to sun moon lake..

hubb and i came here before liao. but not for the other 2 stations. also cannot remember why we only visited 1 station back then..

cant remember what was at the 2nd station. but i remb the 3rd station was quite nice to shop. many souvenir shops.. 

yep, nothing much on day 6. only sun moon lake. after that, headed back to taipei - beitou for the last 2 nights.

it's my little man's 3rd bday!!!

held a simple celebration for him at the nsrcc bungalow w both sides of the families..

it's actually a corporate bungalow and i tot if i win the ballot, then i shall hold a celebration for him. if not, it'll just be a simple celebration. so, quite lucky to have won the ballot. haha.

well, personally, beside full month and 1yo, i think 3yo is also an important milestone becuz.... 三岁定八十!!! yep, so must celebrate!!

3yo liaoooo!!! will never forget the day when i brought him home from tmc.... inside the car.. holding his little head in my hand.... hahahhaah

it was a bbq celebration, but, no photo of the bbq session that night! diaoo.. too bz liao i guess, so no pics of the bbq we had.. 

yeah, the red car... a present from the daddy to him..... honestly, only the daddy is willing to spend the money to buy that car... 我就真的不舍得了..

yeap, the bungalow was available to us from sunday to thurs. but we only stayed till wed, cuz dont wanna take so many days leave la.  so total, we stayed there for 4d3n. 

day 2 morning... a drive around the resort.. 

the best part was, we could still sneak out for a good swim and tan while the boys take their afternoon nap!

the pool is very big and empty!! darn nice to swim there..

ok, kor kor is very stingy.. doesnt really share the toys w didi... so poor didi, can only use the car when kor kor is not around.. 

the food for the bbq was ordered online. it was a package good for 15-20pax, but worrying that the food may not be enough, i added on some ala-carte orders. in the end, proven to be way too much! we had soo much leftovers ok! 

so for the 2nd day dinner, we decided to do steamboat to clear some of the food. hahaa. but becuz otah, satay, stingrays are not meant for steamboating ma, so we still had to top-up some ingredients, which we bought from the fairprice at changi airport. 

tada! not bad right.... 

the bungalow is quite equipped. got cutleries for 8pax, got 1 electric stove, 1 pot, 1 electric kettle, microwave, fridge, freezer. really not too bad.. 

then day 3 morning... took the boys to swim..

and lunch that day was at jumbo restaurant inside the resort. tried their dim sum, not bad. 

and that day afternoon, i went for a swim again. love it la. big pool, empty, music... i literally had the pool all to myself.. really v shiook leh. if only i could lead such a life everyday..... awwww.. 

ok, dinner that night was bbq again! to clear off all the food! 

yes, really ordered too much liaoox. 

and this time round, i did the bbq-ing myself! chef ping at work! LOL

actually i love to bbq food. really. 

yep, in the end, managed to finish all the food except for some otahs and 1 packet of crab meat. heng ahh! but a bit of wastage on the otahs la, cuz all half-cooked (not enough charcoal liao!) and had to be thrown away... 

ok, on the check-out day!

overall the stay is not bad la. our unit is super convenient, just opposite the reception and very near to the pool. the things inside the bungalow are a bit old, but still acceptable. it was quite dirty the first time we stepped in, so lucky the maid was there to clean the whole place up. but becuz there are 2 levels, it can be quite irritating to have to keep climbing the stairs... and of cuz, not to mention the creepy crawlies especially at night..... well, i guess, 'ang-moh chu' are all like that lor. so, landed ppties, 好看不好吃。。哈哈哈。吃不到葡萄说葡萄酸。LOLL.

it was rayous's actual birth day when we checked out. so, bought a cake to celebrate the actual day w him.

last yr my wish for him was to wean off his tutu, which he did (after that incident in taiwan, really!!) !!! 

so this yr, my wish for him, is to potty trained ok!!!
