大年除夕！

And also last day of the lunar 2021!!!

Yes, its 除夕!!! 

Réunion dinner at our house! 

Last year we ordered peng cai... 

This year, we ordered mini buffet!

From Stamford Catering, the same caterer we used in 2020 bash... Yeah, really a bash back then.... Don't know when can hold such party again.... 

Everything nicely packed! 

Wheee! Really very convenient! 干净利落！

The food portion is much bigger than what we had expected...! To think that I still ordered extra ha jeong chicken, for fear that there is not enough food... Ha. In the end, so much leftovers.. 

Only can have 5visitors, so hubb's eldest bro and sis in law gave it a miss. 

Last year still can 8pax... But this year... Aiiiii

Now waiting for countdown.... 

And yet to bao the angbows yet..

Finally collected our passports today..... 

Although don't know when can put to use.... Hahaha...

After that went chinatown walk walk.... 

The decoration this year really very nice.... So majestic looking, thumbs up! 

And then back to west to buy mandarine oranges

Almost our yearly venue to buy the oranges... Lol

SelF GrooMinG SessioN

Hohoho, after 2days of wfh with the Didi also at home, finally get to have a break on Friday!! 

Left him at MIL's place, and off hubb and I went for self grooming session!

Yes, the annual hair coloring session for cny!!

Initially I thought it's very obvious leh... But now that I look at it, quite subtle actually. And cant really put a color to it... Greyish green? Ash green? Ummmmmm

After that walked around chinatown abit... Also one of our cny must try-to do, lol

After a decade plus of working life, I think its really the 1st year that I went totally without mc!

I think it's working from home and staying away from the crowd la.

So today, all geared up, ready to go for a run after dropping him off, who knows both running machines were occupied and even got people queuing and waiting.

Lucky still got a park connector to go to.

Haha, yeah, tried changing routine to a morning exercise, rather than a lunch exercise. 

Not bad not bad. 

So next time, more flexibility liao. Can choose to exercise in the morning or lunch.

Took leave today to chill pill abit! 

Went massage early in the morning. Ha. 

And then... BITP at vivo! Long time no BITP liaox. The food portion like getting smaller oh..

Also dropped off 2bags of old clothes at h&m, sent my watch for repair, went exchange my computer monitor from the office and collected this yr's angbow packets, and finally facial! Oh, and also managed to shop for some gifts for friend's children!

Now on the train back to meet hubb and the boys. 

What a fruitful day! 

And, was told that the return to office schedule is out. Effective 7feb. 

Uh oh. 

But, I'm apparently in a different team from those whom I don't really want to see. 

Yayyy!!! 

Not so bad at least.

回顾2021, 展望2022!

 alamak, 2nd week into 2022 liao, then write 回顾展望.... lol

ok, 回顾 first. 

1) no travel, but went on 5 staycays! lol. no fish, prawns also good! 

2) went back to office to work... for 1 week.... before it was halt again. yay! so, almost full wfh for the whole of 2021.

3) rayous graduated from the pre-school!!! 

4) rayous took up piano lessons 

5) both boys started taekwondo lessons 

6) i crossed the 1st year mark with the current maid. pat on my shoulder! 

7) and the covid19 restrictions.... 走走停停, 停停走走....... 8pax, 5pax, 2pax, no dine-in..... dont know how many times liao, until im also confused already.......... 

8) took up covid19 vaccination! hoho 

ehhhhh, thats about all le ba.......?

overall, 2021 has also been a good year la. generally still a covid year lor. happy to be still able to wfh and go for staycay once in a while. 

ok, come 2022!!! many things gonna happen.... 

1) rayous going to P1 and starting formal education!!! ok wor, so far so good wor! just hope he can be a happy and enthu learner. 

2) raythorous k1, and starting at a new centre. 1st few days did come home and kbkb abit, but so far ok liao. just keep asking us to fetch him earlier. lol 

3) rayous will be starting piano with a new teacher. ya, we find his current progress is a little slow, so decided to change him to a private teacher, instead of school. will be starting in feb with the new teacher. hopefully for the better and he can achieve some grades soon.

4) hope both boys can persevere in their taekwondo trainings and attained some grades too. 

5) oh, also planning to start both of them on swimming lessons. shall source for a coach soon.... 

6) no travel plans, and cannot anyohow go for staycay liao, have to wait for holidays liao. but staycay for raythorous's bday, which so nicely happened to be a long wkend, is in the plan! 

7) work wise, was told that we should be returning to office after cny, and on alternate week basis. well.... hope it will never materialise. lol 

8) there should be some good news for work.... this, i really hope will materialise. good luck! 

9) and..... just when im secretly proud of myself that my maid passed the 1yr mark, she threw bomb on us, saying that she wants to go back home and wants to leave in march. win lor. to be honest, 我有挫败感. cuz this time, i really thought i finally can have a maid who completes her 2yr contract with me. alas!! well, i guess that's life lor. so now, abit dilemma liao, dont know to hire again or not. ya, so.... stay tune to see what happened eventually. well, at least she served notice, we still have some time to think through... and lucky she's ok to stay until cny is over... 算她还有良心.... ha.

10) and though no more gymming, i have continued my exercise routine at home. hope i can continue to keep it up!!!! lol

yup, lots to look forward to in 2022. hope it will be a good year, and everyone to be safe, healthy and happy ok!!

 2weeks into 2022!

I'm still alive and kicking!!!

Yes, need some getting used to the 早睡早起routine.

But, I realised, 其实也挺好的。

The morning is now longer!! Like u do tons of things liao, but still very early. Unlike in the past, do abit of things nia, and already 9am.. Duh

And, now that we don't travel to jurong anymore, we no longer do marketing at the yuhua market. So did marketing at the market near Raythorous's school.

And know what? Everything is super expensive there!

Chicken tigh people sell 1pc about $2.20. They are selling at $2.80. Chicken breast 1pc abt $2.50, they sell $3.80!! Not to mention the size is also smaller!!

And there is only 1 chicken meat stall... Monopolise!! 

Same goes for pork and fish leh. Smaller and pricier.

The market is generally smaller and limited stalls inside. Maybe that's why charging at such high price... 

Anyway, will avoid buying from there again. Shall just buy from good old fairprice, or ask mil to help buy.

Yes, must change routine liao.

Wheee! 

Rayous's first day in primary school!! 

Milestone!!!! 

Ha. This little boy. 

So now, we have to adjust our timing liao.... Really need to make an effort to 早睡早起了。。。。really don't know how to cope when I need to go back to office to work.... Must be mad mad rush again. Scaryyy. 

Till then, enjoy while we still can. 

So good thing now is, the 2 boys schools are nearer to our house now. No need to waste time on travelling le. 

Yay! 

And that's also the main reason why we chose this school. Really very near.

Actually the choice was only between this school and another school. There is a 3rd school, v popular, and we are more than 1km away, so don't bother to apply. 

And between this school and that school, that school is a Christian school, and much further away. 

So the end choice was... This current school! 

Hiak hiak. Hope it's a good choice. 

Lol

And, parents are invited to the school for a virtual orientation. So we are all seated in a classroom to live view our children taking their recess time. 

And after that, we parents had to do a self introduction. 

Diao..dont know is his first day in school or my first day in school! 

Ha. 

Not bad, can see him buying his own food. Appeared to be coping well. 

Hao la, jiayou la. 

Chill pill and don't be a kiasu parent OK!!!!

Haha, Raythorous's 1st day at a different branch! 

Yup, same childcare, but different branch. One that is closer to our house than the jurong east branch..... 

And not too bad! He was OK despite being at a new centre. Lol. Kudos!!! 

No idea why, but Mr rayous will only start school tmr. And if I'm not wrong, only P1 starts tmr. The other levels will start on Wed.

So, took him out with the folks! 

Tried out this steamboat buffet - goro goro - at centrepoint. 

Not bad leh. The mala soup almost comparable to beauty in the pot. The collagen definitely not as good. Food wise maybe not as fresh as beauty in the pot, but not too bad also. 

And the price, much cheaper wor. Kekekke

After that shop shop for a long while. Very fruitful. Haha. 

And tmr..... Rayous 1st day at primary school liao!!! 

Omg. 

Stress! 

Oh... And..

HaPpy 2022!!

Happy 2022!!!!

Woahhh! First post for 2022!!!

New year eve, really rained for the whole day xia! 

Was quite stress abt work, cuz wanna clear the stuff, before I go on leave on Mon and Tues. Lucky did managed to clear. Phew 

Hubb fetched the boys around 1pm. Their last day at the childcare liao!!!!!! 

Ordered pizza for lunch! 

Finally off work at around 4pm... Then went napped awhile, before our dinner at RWS hardrock cafe. 

Made reservation way in advance, Woohoo! 

And this time, I'm smart liao. Knowing from our 1st experience that it will be ultra sinful to finish the whole cup of brownie ice cream, I requested for only half a piece of brownie to be into the dessert, while we bring the other half home. 

The waiter initially say cannot, but after much polosoh, he gave in. Lolll

So, still get to enjoy the dessert at a lower calorie. Kekekekekke

Yummmxx! 

After that, was a tram ride around sentosa....Again..... 

 Yea, reached home about 1130pm, and showered the boys. 

Didi fell asleep after that, but rayous was awake. 

And we counted down together! 

And, the cheer from the neighbouring blocks was soooooo loud, that it woke my Didi up! 

Hahaha. 

Yup, so welcome 2022!!
