Last day of the month!

 好快啊！

One month gone in 2021 liaox.

Went visit some relatives today. 

Long time no see them. 

Happy to catch up abit.

Why is cny goodies getting fattier and fattier?? 

In the past, plain..... Now.. Got peanut butter! 

And damn yummy!! 

This tin was gifted by hubb's bro... 

Coincidentally, I've ordered a similar tin.... That comes in mixed peanut butter and chocolate! 

Omg max. Fat max!

And, I tot $10 haircut is the cheapest around liao.. 

Who knows, today walked past a salon at jurong east and they are cutting at... $6.80!!

Yup, so happily sent the 2 boys to cut their hair.

Ha, took leave today for self grooming and getting ready for cny (though really don't know still got visiting to do this yr or not amid the regulations)!

Yay, I try to dye only once a year, and only during cny. Lol

Went dined at riverwalk and took the opportunity to walk walk the Singapore river 

After that went chinatown.. 

The deco this year not bad leh, quite nice. It's my ox year. Huat ah! 

And though we know that there is no cny bazaar this Yr, we still decided to take a walk there and look see look see. 

Actually not that bad la, still got stalls selling cny stuff la.. Still got abit of the cny mood, not as if it's totally quiet. But yes, not as 大型 as in the past. I think left 30% thereabout? 

Every Yr also wanted to bring the children to the cny bazaar, now finally did, albeit a small scale one.

 Good la. Less crowded.

Now, who said cny goodies from supermarkets cannot make it huh??? 

 Actually not too bad de OK!

CNY really will get fat xia. 

Cuz u will really eat things which u usually don't.. 

Like pineapple tarts la, bak kwa la, butter cookies la, crackers la.... Etc etc etc... 

And all the sinful ones.. 

And the usual excuse 'aiyah, 一年才一次。。。。' 

That's why 年年都加重。

回顾 2020, 展望2021!

2020... really an unprecedented year!

but i must say, 2020 ended much better than 2019. 

towards end of 2019, it really was nightmare with the MIL's accident. 

since her accident, everyday was a pure mad rush for us. 

and, i was so worried about how to cope with this mad rush and stress in the long run. 

who knows, 4months into 2020, and wfh liao!!! no more mad rush!!! 

whoot!

and remb this hubb had a business trip scheduled somewhere in apr2020? i was also damn stress about that, cuz i really dont know how to cope without him ferrying us around. and who knows...... came a COVID19 that destroyed all his travel plans. 

wowowww. 

so, i really really realised that one really dont have to worry too much in life.

ok, so come the 回顾..

2020... 

1) we only travelled to lego land in jan. actually on hindsight, we were really lucky not to have planned any travels. cuz usually we very kiasu and will plan way in advance. but this time round, cuz of hubb's biz travel in apr, we did not plan any personal travel. heng ah. else most likely wb cancelled and dont know can get any refund or not. 

2) returned back to tpy office to work after a good N years!! surreal!

3) working from home! OMG. literally dream comes true! 

4) the loooongest period away from office. wheeez!

5) CB period! 

6) have to start wearing masks, safe entry and temp taking everywhere we go, no more buffet spread, no more big gatherings, no more travels.

7) no more gym.... ultimate sad. 

8) change of maid (again). ya, thanks.

9) rayous K1!! and nope, we did not participate in any parent volunteer thingie. apparently, the school did not require any parent volunteer, likely due to COVID19. but anyway, we are likely to enrol him in another sch instead. so.. yah.

10) didi N1! improving everyday!

11) oh oh! and began to be addicted to online shopping... shopee! 

ok, 来... 2021!!!

1) likely still no travel ba. good also. save lotsa money!!

2) rayous K2. OMG.. the 老大 in the school liao! to think that we started letting him to go school with a 'play play' mentality... who knows... blink of an eye.. K2 liao!!

3) Didi N2! and... he has stopped his finger sucking habit le! all thanks to an ultra big spider - really ultra big - that we spotted at home! i took the opportunity to scare him, telling him that the spider has been biting him (he will have red rashes around his mouth at times) and will continue to bite him if it smells the saliva on his finger and face. and from then onwards, he really doesnt dare to suck again! LOL!!!

4) sighhh. what now seemed to be my resolution every year - no more maid changing ok. sighhhhhhhhhh 

5) promotion freeze. so, no hope for promo liao. haiz. and bonus..... also dont hold high hope le la. still got job happy liao. ha. 

6) hopefully can continue to wfh for the whole year!!! fingers crossed! 

7) and hopefully, to resume my gym again. ho.

wah.. looks like nothing much to 展望 in 2021 hor.. 

ok la, just remain safe and happy, for myself and everyone around me, 就好 ok. 

Ah. Super big prawns!! 

Proud buy from sheng shiong. 5 pieces for about $17. Woahhh. 

And... Dining out on wkends is a nightmare these days. Actually, all along it has been nightmare. Just din know.... IT IS STILL AS HORRENDOUS! 

Queuing at imm swensens... To get a q number only! 

Not q to get into the restaurant hor. Is q to get a q number only hor. Wat fuk? 

And nowadays, most restaurants don't encourage queuing liao. Just take a q number, or put ur number on the waiting list, and then get lost. Don't q at the restaurant. 

And those that still allow queuing, had damnnnnn lonnnng q. 

And every restaurant that we left our number, told us it will be at least a 45min to 1hr wait. 

Wat fuk again? 

Damn sian u know. Lucky we ate something before hand. Imagine all hungry and still gotta wait so damn hell long. 

And in the end, after waiting and waiting.. 

 

No one called.

So we decided to q at ajisan, where the q seemed more reasonable (it was getting late anyway). 

And finally.... Some food for us!!! 

And miraculously, after ordering the food, all the restaurants started calling. 

Really......... Wtf. 

Yes, at about 830pm, all called to say they got place liao. 

So, conclusion, if we were to dine out, either eat super early like 5ish... Or to eat super late at 8ish.. Or make sure to make a reservation.. 

Else.. Just eat at home liao then go out!!

Really 吃一顿饭都这么难！

Ha, new year day celeb at jc and wl's house! 

Let the kids combine!! 

And the most funny thing.... The fathers coming together to fix the toy! What a sight!

Honestly, I know having a daughter will be beneficial to us in the future. Afterall, 女儿has always been known to be more 顾家than 儿子。

And.. 好儿子，不如好媳妇。ya. Once son got paktor or got married, gf/wife sure becomes priority. So.. If suay suay kenna one bad 媳妇， its as good as not having the son anymore. Of cuz there are also bad son in law, but generally, men are less nasty than women la, I feel. 

So the question of.... a 3rd child comes!!! 

Hahahahahah.

Actually I'm always an advocate for more children! 

Though it sure will be additional financial commitment, I think we can still handle that. 

But... The thought of going thru pregnancy, breastfeeding, sleepless nights, 24hr care and looking after... All. Over. Again... 

ARE NIGHTMARES!! 

Ya. Really 好不容易才来到现在，where we can have undisturbed sleep, and the 2 boys can auto pilot. Really seeing lights liao.. 

So... I really don't know if we can start fr ground zero again. 

Lol! 

Anywayssss, 顺其自然吧。

到时候再看看怎么样。

NeW YeaR EvE

yay, ny eve! 

off at 3pm... and... off to mount faber to take cable car!! 

tada! from mt faber to sentosa. 

think is raythorous's 1st time. for rayous, he already took cable car before, when we travelled to HK a few yrs back. but he cant remember la, so young back then. lol 

and then dinner at RWS

RWS was generally quiet i feel.... and sentosa.. dont know isit no more tourists.. the upkeeping was quite bad..... the toilets were horrible.. omg.

after that was a visit to mum's place. 

before we headed home. last yr din managed to count down. this year did liao!! both boys were already fast asleep when we reached home.. so only hubb and me counted down.

was still thinking if i should terminate my gym membership, cuz they start charging me $30/mth for freezing the membership liao.

now that i still wont be back that soon, perhaps really should terminate liao.

and so.. i really 1yr never go back to raffles place office le. 

wow. 

and... maybe really stuck at home too long... now go out and see many pple, will be a bit scare and 乱...

Ya, I really shouldn't be advertising for people.

But there is this really famous 烧蜡stall at yuhua market which always attract queue way b4 it starts business at 9am.

We have been saying to try queuing for it during our off days, but nah so far. 

And today, surprisingly, it already started business when we were at the market after dropping the boys off. 

And... The q was not that long! 

So, we hurriedly went to q.

Oh yes, 我真的有黑 tanned。oh man. 

Yup, though short q, still have to q for a while.. Only 2 person running the stall.. 

And finally!! 

OK.. The verdict.. Actually so so nia la. 

The charsiew is nice la.. But I think loaded with sugar, cuz v sweet. So sweet till the noodle also became sweet. 

Ya.. So abit weird to be tasting sweet noodle. 

Umm. 

Really so so la. 

And today, kenna caught committed another grave mistake at work.
