Leap Day 2020

it's leap day again!

refer here for 2008, 2012 and 2016 leap days!

how time passed right??! 

the period from 2016 to 2020 is definitely less tumultuous than the period from 2012 to 2016. less changes took place b/w these 4yrs vs the previous 4yrs. 

well, some of the major things that took place from 2016 to 2020 include 

1) raythorous entering our life. but being a 2nd time mom, things are definitely more chill than being the 1st time mom. haha

2) shifting of house. yes, our small achievement. 

3) going on regular gym. my personal achievement. woot! 

4) at work, im still where im. honestly, what have i been doing??! too comfortable and stuck liao?? the climate at work now is definitely better than before, with the removal of the many evil people back then. actually, i've been quite happy these recent yrs at work, until... recently..... starting to have doubts again. im doing the same old thing for all these yrs... like.... no progression at all.... well, not necessarily a bad thing... but....i dont know. like moving nowhere at all... haii... 很sian..but又不知道可以怎么样...how??

5) well, i guess the biggest change in these 4yrs, is that i became an employer! yes. MAIDS! never had them before, until 2017 when didi was almost due for delivery. yes. this maid thing was a nightmare. it definitely has not been smooth-sailing and honestly, if i have a choice, i hope i never had to employ them at all. grrr. 

yep, so that's abt all the major things that took place these 4yrs. 

the next leap day in 2024, i'll be 39yrs old liao! 

woohoo, lucky 40 还有得找. hahahhahaahhaha.

and the leap day today, we went out to celebrate! haha. for the past few weekends, we havent really been going out due to the covid thingie. 

went for a haircut together. LOL

and dinner at jurong point swensens.

yep. till the next leap day!

have moved on to another employer, bringing home much bigger paycheck and garnering more respect at work

have another child 

still fit and pretty and happy.

I guess they really are the most harmless, most happy go lucky guys around... 

Work is depressing, again.

My fault? Or genuinely a manpower issue?

 Hahahahha, after a good 10yrs, finally lunching with these folks at cmd again. 

Yep, left them in 2010...

Never imagined I'll be back in the same office again.

But yes, am back in tpy again. 

Been 3weeks liao. So far quite happy, except that it's so much further to the nearest available gym. 

Gym days become mad rush days.... And I cannot go as often liao, too time consuming. 

Other than that, really not bad. The travelling time is also shorter than to raffles place. And less of the irritating pple around. 

Lol. 

Ahhh

Amid this covid19 thingie, my co has so nicely implemented 1hr earlier off, so that we can avoid the large crowds during peak hours. 

So, from now till end of Apr, the official off time is..... 5.30pm! 

Wheeee!

Finally one day which I don't have to 偷鸡摸狗 and leave hush hush, praying nobody sees me. 

Yes, though my team lead has very nicely said he doesn't mind me going off half hour earlier, it is still paisay to go off earlier. So instead of 6pm, I always stretch till around 610pm then 偷偷的走。

But 610pm is super rush liao. Any jam or any delay on the road, and we will missed the 7pm deadline to pick the boys. And kenna before, we caught in jam, in the end had to activate FIL to go pick and wait for us outside the school. 

So now with this new hours implemented, I can 大摇大摆的走了。

Very happy!!!!

ok, so now hubb is KB-ing on the vast increased in water and gas usage. 

according to him, we are WAY OVER the national average....

woohoooo.. 

huat ahh...

well, how not to be way over when we are using the washing machine every.single.day. 

yeah, everyday we are using the washing machine to wash the childrens' uniforms. and not to mention the times we had to use it to wash the adults' clothes. 

though we use the 'quick 30' mode (ie, complete wash in 30mins) to wash the uniforms, i seriously dont know how much water that involves per usage. 

and then, we are cooking at least 1 meal every day (that explains the gas). after every meal, have to wash the darn many pots and pans and bowls and plates and utensils and and and and and.....

and after every meal, also gotta mop the floor right.... use water again..... 

and.... now, we gotta shower the 2 boys also.... 2 more beings to use water! 

wooooooo... 

so now, come to think about it, i think we really did 'leech' on MIL in the past. the money we gave her, think barely sufficient to cover so many things. LOL...

and the groceries..... woot! expenses again! 

the only good thing is probably the fact that we r using the aircon much less frequently than before. so hopefully, on that note, we can save on the electricity. afterall, washing machine cant be using more elect than aircon right...... 

but aircon usage was mainly during weekends in the past, but now, washing machine is everyday...

sighhhh 

really expenses after expenses..... 

okok, must think of ways to cut the utilities usage liao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took half day leave and feasted at BITP @ centrepoint. 

Honestly, it's an overpriced steamboat. 

Just the soup alone cost $30 already.. And the condiments at $4 per pax... Like wth...? 

Super expensive la. Though super nice also. 

Haha. 

Anyway, after that went to do facial while this hubb went to do massage. 

Then abit of grocery shopping b4 picking these 2 boys for our mac date. 

LOL.

We engaged the same lion dance troupe that we had engaged back in 2018, but apparently the troupe that came is different from the one that we engaged. Think they 'sub con' out.. 

But honestly, this group is much more professional than the one we had in 2018.

And yep, our dept activated the split site thingie liao. Will be deployed to the alternate site at tpy tmr.

Really leh, after so many yrs, back to working in tpy again, back to meeting all the same old ex colleagues again. 

Mixed feelings, really. Haha. 

Abit sian though.. Disruptive to my gym routine. The nearest outlet now will either be amk hub or paragon, both also néed to travel abit.

And..始终not my home ground.. Gotta get used to the new environment and pple... Hmmmmm

OK, last ended at the 4th yusheng. 

Skipped the 5th and 6th yusheng first, cuz no time to load pics. Lol.

And the 8th yusheng at Shaw House hai xian lao with ex colleagues! Great catching up! 

Initially planned to go for the 9th yusheng today to celebrate 元宵。but with the wuhan virus and the dorscon being elevated to orange, 外面真的是人心惶惶。looks like its really better off to just hide at home.

And the vday event at our development which i was looking forward to, also kenna postpone liao. 

Stress.... 

And Monday, maybe have to work at split sites liao. Meaning I will go to tpy office to work liao. Woahhahahaha, after so many yrs, it's back to tpy again.
