attended a 1-day course last thurs to learn more on my 'strengths' and how to apply them. basically u have to ans 100+ qns before the system will rank the 34 types of strengths revealed by your responses to the qns.

eg of a qn will be this sentence 'i like to read' and from a scale of 1 to 5, u decide how much this sentence describes u. something to that effect.

and so, my top 5 strengths (ranked in order):

1) Restorative

- People who are especially talented in the Restorative theme are adept at dealing with problems. They are good at figuring out what is wrong and resolving it.

2) Empathy

- People who are especially talented in the Empathy theme can sense the feelings of other people by imagininng themselves in others' lives or others' situations

3) Consistency

- People who are especially talented in the Consistency theme are keenly aware of the need to treat people the same. They try to treat everyone in the world with consistency by setting up clear rules and adhering to them

4) Relator

- People who are especially talented in the Relator theme enjoy close relationships with others. They find deep satisfaction in working hard wth friends to achieve a goal

5) Significance

- People who are especially talented in the Significance theme want to be very important in the eyes of others. They are independent and want to be recognised.

haha. well.. true to some extent. and in b/w are the ranking of other strengths like communication, analytical, focus, discipline, etc....

and now, the last 5 strengths...

30) Belief

- Have certain core values that are unchanging. Out of these values emerges a defined purpose for their life

31) Positivity

- Have an enthusiasm that is contagious. They are upbeat and can get others excited abt what they are going to do

32) Arranger

- Can organise, but they also have flexibility that complements this ability. They like to figure out how all of the pieces and resources can be arranged for maximum productivty.

33) Maximizer

- Focus on strengths as a way to stimulate personal and group excellence. They seek to transform something strong into something superb.

and last but not least.... my 'weakest strength' is.....

34) INTELLECTION

- Are characterised by their intellectual activity. They are introspective and appreciate intellectual discussions.

wow. this is sooo un-flattering.

but, much as i want to say this is not accurate at all.... i cant.

i still remb how i hated those intellects when they ask qns after qns during a tutorial/lecture when all i ask for is for everything to end asap.

and i remb how when some1 wants to start some smart conversation again and deep in my heart i will be saying 'oh no.. there it goes again.....' and i'll keep quiet for the rest of the conversation cuz there's nothing i can contribute... or i'll try to change subject to bitching or gossiping

i remb how pple say that they tot im doing sales or that i should do sales since i can talk alot and my reply was 'yah, talk nonsense i can. talk serious i will die'.
