My ColleaGues

I realised after being with the company for >1 year, i seldom talk abt my colleagues @ work. well..afterall, i don know who r reading this blog, so better not talk too much... but then again, this is my space, y cant i talk?? lol, anyway, not going to badmouth anyone or anything, so no worries.

took many pics during xmas eve. shall take this chance to intro my colleagues. like in all other places, there are also clinques in my dept. and as usual, some colleagues r closer and some not so close. it's juz normal yeah? cant expect to be close to everyone ba...

this is ezanne. it's strange how everyone tot we look alike. i think there's >10 pple whom said we look alike. even walking on the street, the credit card promoter asked if we r sisters.. diao ~ she's one year younger than me. one of my closest colleagues.

this is eleanor. she's 2 years my junior. b4 ezanne joined the co, i was the youngest. b4 eleanor joined the co, ezanne was the youngest. so conclusion? we r the 3 youngest in the dept !! wahahah..

my immediate superiors, helen and darren. they r the sort who will leave u alone if u do ur work properly. pple who give me alot of space.. alot of freedom.. alot of discretion.. and who do not pressurize me.. this is something definitely not to be taken for granted.

this is papa keegan. someone whom i always go to when i meet difficulties. he's like doraemon.. possesses everything frm medicine to chopsticks. he's also like an encylopedia, full of knowledge and expertise. and he's v talkative and humorous too. guess how old is he?? he's 46years old! doesnt look like it yeah? v well-maintained.

the one in white is razak, one of the two malays in our dept. the one in green is richard. should be the most senior in age in our dept bah.

the one in pink is puayliang and the one in white is ivan. v helpful peepz too ~

the one in white is lee ing. she's an ex-crescentian too! she's like a big sis to me.. v knowledgeable... v mature and stable kind... the one in black is our ex-superior. she's no longer in charge of us which is a good thing, cuz i heard she's an iron lady and a strict superior. after i joined, she left.. heng arrh~ but apparently, the old birds love her.. cuz they feel that she can lead better.. well.. i dont know.. i was never under her. so no commentx :X

these few are the old birds... already there when i joined... gwen.. liping.. jane.. kit.. and kelvin (the one rite behind).. he was my mentor.

generally my colleagues r all quite young.. mostly ard late 20s or early 30s.. but amazingly, many r already married or going to get married. like gwen.. she's only 3 years older and already with 2 kids. kelvin who's 28 has a son already. interesting huh..

also perhaps most already have family commitments, our dept is not tt kind of happening dept whereby after work we'll go drinking or partying.. in fact, i think our dept is quite boring.. after work, we'll juz head our own ways.. yepp.. i will say we lack cohesiveness.. mmm... ~

and like i say.. some r really closer and some not so close. i realise there are many days whereby i did not even talk to some of the colleagues for the whole day. well, i dont know if tt is normal.. but it does happen.

anyway, so far there's no outright politics going on. it's juz clinques and i take tt as pretty normal. i juz thank god tt at least i managed to have a few close colleagues @ work. pple who encourage me.. pple who work alongside with me.. pple who motivate me.. pple who help me.. and i thank god for the nice superiors..

seriously.. they make working life easy for me. i always tot office will be full of politics, pple back stabbing u, hoping to put u down, badmouthing u, make life miserable for u.. then the superiors will be nasty and difficult and strict and always finding faults and deadline and targets are all they care.. but lucky for me, nothing of tt sort.

i will treasure wad i have.
