TaiPei'08 II

been v v long since i dont have to go out on sunday. since aug i think, every sunday gotta go out for driving lessons. today is the 1st sunday since vv long time tt i have nothing on and can r&r le. good time to continue with taipei trip'08.

last entry stopped at day 3. day 3 nite we went to linjiang nite market, one tt i did not visit the last time i went with yh. it's not 1 of the famous nite markets, but amazingly, it's more fun than the famous ones! as usual, many food but besides food, this market has many games to play too! we played till past midnite and had to take cab back to hotel.

one of the interesting activities was prawning... there's a string with hook attached and the string is attached to a stick. u have to hook the prawns up..after tt can bbq them rite away.. hubb is real lousy at it. all 4 prawns were hooked by me!

actually kind of cruel. the prawns are real poor thing. have to suffer being 'hooked' and after tt bbq alive! gosh.. felt so sinful. but i think we didnt know how to bbq, the prawns went rather burnt... mm ~ fun experience though..

4th day morning went to this cute little restaurant. their mascot's a big dog and the dog is always outside the shop. attracted many passerby to take pics. i realised taipei has many of such cute shops..

after tt was to yehliu.... previously already heard this place is all abt rocks.. but the last time did not visit, so this time go there and take a look lor. a super far place.. bus journey was super long.. but not too bad. quite an interesting place too..

the v famous and icon of yehliu - the empress head. seriously, it looks like an empress head only at a specific angle. if u change angle, it will not look like an empress head le. and it was stated it's not known how long this empress head will be around cuz day by day the rock's being eroded and it'll come a day whereby the 'neck' part will break off. yep.

this icon is soo famous tt we all had to q up in order to take pic. and it wasnt easy cuz many pple walking past also..

inside yehliu also got place to shop and eat. and saw this super huge dog....... and i mean it.. it's HUGE...

see?? it's even bigger than it's owner!!!! soo many pple took pics of it. i realised taiwanese love dogs.. it's really common to see owners walking on the streets with their doggies..

our super big bowl of double flavour ice ~ quite madness cuz it was soo cold and we were still eating ice! but we only ate after we completed our games of basketball in arcades. it was v cold on the street and our best way to keep ourselves warm was to go into the arcades and play games.. and basketball was one of our fav games.. and since then, back in singapore now, hubb and me still frequently visit arcades to play basketballs. lol~ dont know how much money we've wasted playing basketball and tabletennis in arcades. ~ ahh ~

this is our 1st hotel - royal castle (chengdu) hotel.. stated on the forum tt it's quite near frm ximending but actually not so.. it's quite far i will say.. abt 15mins walk.. but the room's v classy and cozy. got soft music playing 24hrs de..

i love this corner of the room the most! it's juz sooo cool and convenient. water cooler in the room~ i like !

and every nite, we watched weird and gruesome HK movies. the early days HK movies really cannot make it.... almost every movies we watched involved raping, killing, bloody, sexual scenes.. so disturbing ~
