KoReA TriP in SummAry

Ok, almost half yr since our korea trip liao!

On hindsight, how did we survive huh??

Lol

Really glad it was a relatively shun shun trip.

Ok some summary

1) going with tour grp really very rush. Everyday also wake up early, many of the places also not given much time to visit. But if repeat one more time, i will still choose tour la. 1st time visiting this country which we totally cannot read nor speak their language, winter time, covid, 2 kids... Yes.. If repeat one more time, i still will go with tour

2) what was unexpected was that the boys did not like the food. Stunned. Rayous still ok but raythorous was super extreme. Omg.

3) hubb fell sick like 3rd day into the trip. Raythorous on off vomit here and there. Urgh

4) despite the cold weather, there was only 1 morning that we saw snow falling

5) people in korea generally really look better than sporean. Especially the guys, many tall and well built ones.

6) rubbish bins are not readily available. According to the guide, they believe in not producing too many rubbish, hence, quite difficult to find bins there. Duh.

7) serviettes or wet tissues are all readily available, in the hotels restaurants as well as at common restaurants. They are all in the side tray at the tables, FOC, just take!! This one, really quite impressive. I think if it is in sg, people would have kop all and keep already. And foreigners must be damn stunned why they are being charged for wet tissues in sg. LoL

8) i always believe, if u want to knoe the quality of the citizens, just look at their public toilets. For this, korea really v good. The toilets are all generally clean. Thumbs up!

9) the overall feel there is ok la. The people are not overly welcoming nor rude or nasty la.

10) the number of people in our group was 16. A family of 5, a family of 3, a group of 4, and us. All teenagers or adults, except for the family of 3 with a 2yo. And that was our saving grace. Most of the time, it was either them being last, or us being last. Lucky still got them to cushion abit, else the whole tour would be waiting for us all the time. Haha.

11) oh and this brought me back to the day of arrival. We were told by the local guide, to not change into winter wear when we reach korea. We should only change after we met our guide in korea. She assured us that there will be sufficient time to let us change. This was a very clear instruction.

But this hubb super gun chong, left the plane liao, saw toilets, and told us to change. And i dont know why i listened to him! By the time we finished changing, other flights had arrived and the immgration custom was super super superrrr long q!!! Needless to say, we were separated from the people on our flight.

After finally clearing the custom, and otw to collect our luggages, know what? The luaggage conveyor belt already stopped moving and only the few uncollected luggages were placed on the floor waiting!!

Omg really! U can imagine how long we were stuck at the immigration.

And.. The story doesn't end here. We cannot find one of our luggage! Asked for help here and there, and finally managed to find it at the lost and found room!

Seriously mama drama!

And throughout, we tried to contact our korean guide, but the number cannot get thru! (later clarified that it was a wrong number given to us)

So u can imagine how freaking long we took and how long the other members waited outside.

When we finally gathered with them, they were all fully geared liao, and looking damn sian, shld be from waiting for us. Really omg.

I think the guide also damn sian why we took so long, but seeing my super pissed face, he also dare not say us liao. Lol

In the end quickly galan gabok add on our gears and finally started the tour!

Such lousy first impression given to the rest leh. So i was really really glad that in the group, there was another grp w child to help cushion abit. Hahaha

So u see, 一步错,真的可以步步错!

The group people generally ok la. Afterall we were stuck tog for almost 10days. Our korea guide also ok la, not super good, but up to standards la. Is korean, but can speak chinese. According to him, his ancestors were from china.

Yup overall korea is ok.

Next time maybe can free and easy and also include jeju!

Yeahh!
