Celebrated for her at ion jumbo. 

Hubb has got this member voucher for bday.... Spend $200 and get
$100 off. Super worth it! 

But 2 crabs alone already almost $200 liaoz!

After that fetched the boys and had a mini celeb at her house. 

 Honestly, this MIL 真的没话说了。真的很不错。

Although sometimes abit irritating... Lol

Ah. A little good deed done on Sat. 

Donated some items for the nearby nursing home.

There burst the SG-HK travel bubble when the 1st flight was supposed to be today.

Must be super sian. Imagine u took one week leave, everything packed properly, then in the end flight cancelled. 

And whichever date it has been postponed to, u have to take leave again to travel?

Super lame. 

And bet many preparations were done for this highly anticipated flight.. 

All gone. 

OK la, not gone la. Just postponed until a later date ya. 

Actually don't know why travel bubble with HK. Honestly not a very hygienic and clean city. 

Oh well. 

I guess we just have to start somewhere somehow. 

But.... Apparently just not now...not yet.

Friday breakfast with my boys 

Yeh, school was closed on Friday, so took this opportunity to bring them out for the mac bf which they had been asking for. 

And then night time was to attend the virtual EOGM held by the estate. 

Yes, EOGM to vote additional members into the current mgmt council. 

And hubb is one of them.

After months of 'fighting', they finally got into the council. 

Yup. Hopefully with them in, better improvements can be seen in managing our estate.

1st went to the temple to pray. the temple is no longer opened on weekends, can only pray outside. so took this opportunity to go to the temple and pray inside. 

after that was movie at bugis+.

believe it or not... the whole cinema only the 2 of us!!! super VIP xia. haha

after that, went for korean bbq buffet. also loooooong time never eat korean bbq liaoz. shioook!

and then... off to MBS...... to buy...... a new LV bag wallet!!

and hubb got upgraded to be a prestige member... can redeem 2 free tix to some of the attractions every mth. 

not wanting to waste the 2 tix for nov mth, we quickly went to redeem. 

and had a sampan ride. LOL

and this sampan ride also kuku de... wanna take pics, but doesnt allow us to take off the masks... who will buy the pics xia???

so, we did not want to buy... and to our surprise, they passed us the password to retrieve the pics online. u know, usually u must buy the hardcopies, then they will pass u the details to retrieve the softcopies. for this, i think they just suan le la.... just pass to u la.. hahah

and this sampan ride.... if no free tix... is $13 per pax ok! damn ex... 

and actually wanted to go for a massage de... in the end, spent too long in LV shop... so gotta cancel the massage session.... 

and in the end mad rush to the school. lucky still managed to fetch the boys before 7pm.

that was what happened to me during CB. really got abit fairer..... 

but once CB over, i've been swimming during lunch times. 

so..... really getting darker tanner and darker tanner (yes, I refuse to acknowledge that it's darker)

and at times, i really wonder if pple seeing us will tot im a helper following the sir and children behind or not... hahaha.

actually should avoid the sun la... i also scare aging and worse... spots! 

but swimming is face-down one mahh... so... likely wont be so harmful ba?? at least to the face....?

and heck la... how often can swim under the big hot sun???

once go back to office, no such luxury liaoz.

Suddenly abit lost, like nothing to do.

yup, after a week 3 days of no helper, we decided..... WE NEED A HELPER!!

ya, super weak right. 

to think that i had contemplated the idea of not having one and just rely on part-time cleaners and order tingkat for food. 

honestly, hubb did try to engage a part-time cleaner. searched online, but earliest available is like 2wks later? then MIL happened to have a contact and passed it to us.. so hubb happily engaged that auntie to come help us. 

and in the end, the auntie who came..... alamak.... looks old and weak. a fairly big- sized elder lady with obvious leg pain issue (from the way she walks). the way she talks also super weak.... 有气无力..... 

honestly, when i saw her, i had just wanted to pay her half the price and ask her to go back. not that i 歧视老人, but how to bear letting an old lady (with leg pain someomore!) help us clean the house while the 4 of us laze around???!

wah lau eh... really.... 

in the end, we just let her do la. also not nice to shoo her off like that. and actually her work is not too bad. and before she went off, she still asked hubb if he is satisfied with her work and that next time round, she will bring some equipment to clean the higher areas. 

then a few days after that, she texted hubb to ask to fix the next appointment. 

but we had already engaged a new helper le, so hubb told her no need le.

urghh. felt so bad la. she must have tot we are not satisfied with her. 

haii. ask her to come clean, also feel bad. dont ask her to come clean, also feel bad, cuz she got no income liao. haiiz. really... 

and then the tingkat.... from what i gathered, it's not cheap at all. and the food are delivered b/w 3 to 7pm. if they can deliver by 3pm, means the food are cooked way eariler, perhaps 1pm... and if we eat by 7pm, it would be a lapse of 6hours already. so no way we are eating fresh food right. then hubb was saying if so, we might as well just tabao from the hawker stalls. then i told him we cannot be eating outside food everyday right. and then he rebutted, isint tingkat also outside food?

gurp. 

true, but not so true la. at least the tingkat websites claimed so, that they are healthier choices blah blah. but i really am not comfortable eating food that are prepared so many hrs in advance. of cuz MIL can cook for us, but also dont wanna trouble her everyday.... 

so, 东想西想... and balancing the costs.... hiring a helper is still more worthwhile la. 

someone to do all the chores... can cook is bonus, but if cannot, at least can help to wash the dishes after i cook. and now wfh ma, i can teach where possible. 

and just stop struggling la. i tell u, that few days without helper, really 忙东忙西, 忙non-stop. no time to do the things that i want to do le! really can die! 

so yup. next post then continue on the maid search journey this time.

haha, just completed our virtual team-bonding session.

yes.. u read it right - virtual team-bonding.

previously already heard about online escape room game as a team-bonding activity.

had a taste of it just this morning. 

erm.... ok... cant compare to having it in real la, but.. just make-do lor. not easy communicating thru zoom, but still works la. and not too bad, get to see a number of the colleagues, albeit remotely. haha. 

then 2nd activity was cocktail-making session.

quite cool really. the spirits and some of the barangs were delivered to our house. 

so everybody just logon and follow what the bartender does. haha

tada!

unfortunately, im not an alcohol person.

and... dont say no door gift hor (but this door gift is meant for another session, not this teambonding session). even door gift can ownself design online and deliver right to your doorstep!

damn cool right. 

technology these days is really amazing. those businesses really have to catch up and think of innovative ways to continue biz during this covid19 time... else... really game over. 

yup. and it has been a year since our teambonding session last yr which was to JB. i tot i did blog about it? but apparently cant find any related post on it now. haiz. think im getting senile.. 

yup, time really flies xia. like jus ytd that we went to JB for the teambonding, but it has actually been a yr le.
