Day 5 of our goldcoast trip. still at tangalooma - day 2
breakfast that morning was the leftover dinner from last night. really money-saving bah? lol
and then we tried out para-sailing at sgd104/pax. real expensive right?! but it seems like the most exciting sea-sports around.. and we din want to leave without trying at least something.. and so, we went ahead!
tada! that's us!!! high up in the sky!!
it's quite fun and exciting..bit scary esp when the wind is heavy..overall duration was a mere 8-10mins..
our lunch that day.. buffet at sgd30/pax. surprisingly this is cheap.. for a buffet..
wanted to do the sand-taboganning as well... but it was raining that afternn... so we din had a chance to do... boo..
ended up snacking away... haha.. ice cream @ sgd5.20/scoop
night time was to the hi-light of the whole tangalooma stay - dolphins feeding.
as said, many tour packages include the tanglooma in their itinery and the selling point is the dolphins feeding sessions. the dolphins are wild-life dolphins which will come to the resort daily during feeding time. their attendance are also being marked everyday.
so all of us have to queue up for our turn... collect a fish.. and wait for the turn to feed the dolphins. the staff are quite strict about this whole thing.. kept reminding us not to touch the dolphins, not to use flash etc..
tada! that's tinkerbell.
the whole feeding session is very different from what i thought. i thought the dolphins are enclosed are we get to feed as much as we like. but this is not so. the whole process is conducted near the shore and we only get to feed 2-3 fishes. and everything happen so fast, u dont really get to experience the feeding process. and it was soo sooo cold..and dark.... if u ask me, i dont think it's worth visiting tangalooma just for this..
our dinner that night..total SGD60
that more or less round up our 2days in tangalooma. overall, it's a v relaxing place to be at. it is a resort and u can walk around in your swimwear and no one cares. just bask in the sun, engage in sea-sports, rest and relax.. but given the very expensive and long journey, i will not recommend this place. i guess u can bask in the sun and do sea-sports in many other places too (and at a much cheaper rate as well!). and the dolphins feeding is really nothing fantastic. so, if u really have the time, u can visit. if not, i think there'll be no regrets dropping it off.
