BaCk!

back to singapore again. facing reality again. back to my home sweet home again. hm... weird feeling each time i come back to sing. it's as though i never left b4. it's like, although i was in hk for 10 days, now tt im back, i din feel as if i left sing for 10 days.. erm.. yah.. don know how to describe. anyway, i wanna blog abt the hk trip now, since it's still fresh in my mind. tp trip i'll blog soon. hehe..

hmm.. 10 days in hk. i think im really fortunate le. went to 2 countries in a mth. though all asia countries, but still.. and i love hk soo much. last year, when i went and came back, i wondered when will be the next time i travel to hk again. i tot it will be damn long b4 i get to go to hk again. but who knows, in a year's time, i got to go back again. happy. contented. satisfied. thanks to all who made this trip possible. thanks to family for their financial and moral support. and thanks to hubb for the physical support.

hongkong. a place i love so much. don know y. maybe it's cuz of those hk drama series i've been watching since young. always get to see and tt's y i feel familiar. and cantonese. yea. i juz love everything abt hk. hk is v different frm sing. shall compare and contrast now.

Shopping

in singapore, most of the times we shop in shopping centres, with the air-con and the v-nice environment. and the shopping areas in sing are more or less concentrated like orchard and bugis. but in hk, regardless of which mrt station u exit, u get to see shops, shops and more shops. all kinds of shops. so basically, u can juz shop on the street! it's juz so cool and vibrant. unlike sing.. only shopping centres.. so ex..

People

in hk, i don know y, but there are juz sooooo many pple on the street!! super super many pple. regardless of which mrt station. don know where the pple come frm. everywhere u go, u see nothing but tons of pple. amazing.

Food
mostly can be found in cha-can-ting. apparently they have no hawker centres or coffee shops. but plenty of chacan-ting. food inside are of a wide variety. rice, noodles, vermicelli, marcaroni, horfun, toast, sandwiches, bread etc etc. the food are quite ex. one meal on average abt 5, 6 bucks. no joke. and the food are of a big portion.
besides cha-can-ting still got resturants, fast-food and those road side stalls. but those road side stalls also not cheap de. one stick of beef ball can cost $1.60. hmm..

Toilets

it's so difficult to find toilets in hk! in sing, all shopping centres have toilets. but in hk, even the shopping centres don have toilets! or rather, there are toilets but the toilets are locked and only accessible by those tenants. can u imagine how irritating it is when u r urgent and u finally found a toilet but only to discover tt it's locked?? as a result, when we need the toilet, we'll look out for mac or pray tt there are public toilets nearby. darn pathetic de.

yep, those 4 are the most salient differences b/w sing and hk. i think hk's a more vibrant place than sing. everything also more. more stuff, more pple, more food, more ex. haha...

this time we went to plenty of places. wong tai sin, madame tussaud, lan kwai fong, the peak, cheung chau, tai-0, lantau island, avenue of stars, victoria harbour.... juz to name a few. but we din managed to go macau (cuz ferry tix too ex), the jumbo restaurant, and the tvb tv station. but more or less we went to most of the places we wanted to go. great!

and this time, i bought so many more things for myself as compared to taipei. hahhaha... this time i know how to dote on myself le! bought 3 pairs of shoes, 3 tops, 3 pairs of earrings, 1 shorts, 1 bag, i bracelet, 2 key chains, and a pic of myself @ victoria harbour taken by those professional paid photographer. look at tt BIG pinkish bag i bought to carry all my stuff back. hee..woohoo! well done ping!

ok.. lastly wanna thank hubb for accompanying me and tolerating me for 10 days. there are plenty of quarrels, no kidding. and some quarrels are rather heated. haii.. but there r times when im really nice too, rite? don know leii.. haii.. only 10 days also soo much quarrel.. maybe we really not compatible? boooo.. anyway, thanks hubb. love ya.
