ThaT FaTeFuL DaY

There was once... some 8 years ago.. when she was still in secondary 2.. there was this fateful day when she gei kiang represented the keller house and competed on the field. that day, she was not supposed to be playing. she wasn't even in the list. that day she never even brought her pe attire along. but somehow.. it seemed to be fated.. there was a player short and she was asked to go onto the field and play. and somehow, she went ard asking pple whether they have pe attire to spare. and somehow, she was all ready to go on the field to play ----- soccer. unsure of the strategy, she simply ran around the whole field, trying to be the stiker, the mid-fielder, and the defender at the same time. the field seemed so big at that mmt.. and she was like a tiny player on the big big field. the sun was scorching, she started to sweat. she knew she's tired, out of breath, and cannot tahan much longer. yet, she still wanted to be the star player. she did not know how long had she played on the field, neither did she know how much longer will the game last when she tripped and fell. she could not remember why she tripped or how she tripped. did someone or something tripped her? or did she tripped herself? she cannot remember. but one thing she remembered for sure, there was a loud "crack" sound when she fell. she heard it clearly, vividly. she knew some part in her was fractured. she could hear the bone. yes, she could hear it. she laid down there, waiting for pple to come. then, the referee came over, not helping her to get up at all, but only asked and instructed her to get up on her own. at hindsight, she wondered why tt referee who's a teacher, could be so cruel. not assisting her and instead demanded her to get up on her own. she was brought to a side. 3 frens surrounded her. one kept wiping her sweat. one kept buying her drinks. she looked at her left arm, right at the joint part, it was flat. a normal arm should be round.. but her's was flat. literally flat. she knew tt part of her arm was fractured. then came a teacher. a teacher who's supposed to be the in-charge of red cross. tt teacher bandaged her arm.. but it was in a real awkard way. even a dumb ass will not bandage the arm like tt. her fren informed her mother and her sister. and they waited together. waiting for the mum to come. finally the mum came, in a taxi. throughout the whole proces, she did not even shed a tear. maybe the pain was beyond the threshold and she couldn't feel it anymore. but when she saw her mum, somehow, tears came rolling. she also did not know why. in her haste to get into the taxi, her right hand let go of the left hand. and immediately, there was this un-describe-able pain in her left arm. it was as if her left arm had fallen off her body .................... to be continued
