was on course ytd at gardens by the bay. and they gave a same day one-day pass to the flower dome. as many of them just want to go off after the course, they did not want the passes. so, took 1 pass for hubb and asked him to come join me after work. 

hoho. since there liao and got free entrance, y not right?

the last time we went, we only visited the cloud forest. never been to the flower dome before. and now, it's the xmas tsum tsum theme liao.

honestly, nothing much inside. it's just like an indoor airconditioned garden, that's all. 

but not bad la, at least now i can say, ive been to the 2 domes before. haha. not so sua-ku.

after that went to make myself a pair of new lenses. went back to the same shop that did my '9yrs-lenses'. quite cheap leh. $150 nia (and i tot the last time i made lenses from them in 2016, they charged me $180?? why now cheaper huh?). called up another optical shop which quoted me $250 and that shop was just a few units away from this current shop. 

really hor. why such a vast difference? and both shops told me the same thing - that the lenses will only be good for 1yr plus. 

and according to this shop, there is only 1 supplier left who is still manufacturing permanent lenses. if that is true, it will mean whichever optical retail shop i go to, they will go to this one same manufacturer to manufacture the lens. so.... why 1 shop charge $150 and the other charge $250 leh?????

that's y.. really must compare around.. 

and according to this gal at the shop, there was a record of me making lenses somewhere around 2013. ok, so perhaps, the lenses did not last me for 9yrs lah, since somewhere around 2013, i did make a new pair. 

hoho.

ok nvm, i can only say, things nowadays really not as lasting as they used to be liao.

the last time we went there was during my maternity. woah, 1yr plus liao eh.... time fliess!! 

that time raythorous was still a little baby... look at this naughty boy now.. 

and the kor kor whom we did not bring along the other time. now... big boy liao! bringing him out is definitely easier than bringing didi out. sure enjoying the sweet treats...! 

ok, this background is not kiseki. it's a neighbouring hotpot restaurant. LOL 

after that went to the roof top garden and see see look look, b4 we went metro to shop for awhile. 

yeah. not too bad a PH. 

surely better than the deepavali last yr.

and now, wtf.. one side of my lens got torn again!! again, thanks to my blog, the last time one side got torn was in dec last yr.  ok, the time line goes like this - collected the lenses in aug last yr. then in dec last yr, one side torn. so i asked for an exchange which they did. and i collected the new lens in jan this yr. and now, one side torn again. 

so.... can i still ask for a 2nd exchange??????

really so lousy leh... technically, the 1st pair of lens torn after abt 4mths. then the 2nd pair now torn after abt 10mths. kaoz, neither can last for a yr! though all in all, it's more than a yr already lah.

D&D 2018

after a hiatus of 4yrs, we have a D&D again! 

this time round at shangri-la hotel. 

well, i can only say, it was much less enjoyable than the one i had 4yrs back. and the food were quite lousy, really. but it was great being able to catch up with some old colleagues. 

the theme - under ocean blue... 

not many pics taken, cuz we arrived quite late, as we went ktv prior to the d&d (early release from work at 3pm..)

4yrs... 说长不长,说短不短... 我孩子都生两个了!! weight 也 gained了不少... urrrrrrggghhhhh!

looking back at the old pics... some pple left.. some remained... and now... many more new ones... 

well, till the next D&D!

hopefully not another 4yrs later.

talking abt kiasu-ness.... 

the very kiasu us have booked a trip to melbourne.... in april next yr!! 

hahaha.. 

yeah... 

actually, the initial plan was to bring the folks to korea. but alas, this dad doesnt want to travel, so, we changed plan to go aussie instead. 

wanted to go adelaide, but then, the flights timings are all quite lousy (all night flights, which we decided not to subject the boys to). so, it's either sydney or melbourne. if parents-in-law are coming w us, then we will go sydney, cuz they have been to melbourne before liao. but alas again, they are also not very willing to travel. so, in the end, we decided on melbourne, just me hubb and the 2 boys.

also contemplated sydney + melbourne. but apparently, that will require a domestic flight and we decided to drop the idea, since it will really be a hassle.. next time then visit sydney le lor.

yeah, so, in april next yr. before didi turns 2 and have to pay the full fare. 

LOL. 

by then, rayous will be turning 4yo and didi will be turning 2yo. should be much easier to manage le ba? 

though it sounds v far now, trust me, before we know, it will be april!!! 

arghh.. 

time really flies! 

ok, anyway, start of a new month again!

A VisiT To ThE BirDParK & KidsTop

think so far, we only brought them to the zoo, not the birdpark.. LOL

but we still bought la, cuz really quite nicely taken. kekeke 

also played at the waterpark for a while, despite drizzling.. until thunder was heard and lightning saw.  and the 2 boys.. were scared of the slides rides lor.. ahh! scardy cats!!

like the zoo, the birdpark is also super big la. just the tot of having to walk thru all the way to see the attractions is already quite daunting. not to mention a wagon of 2 children, and a wagon of barangs! ah. 

could have taken the tram ride la, but if we do that, then dont know where to park the wagons and where to place our barangs liao. 

hoho..

last week also visited the science centre kidstop. 1st time there. 

not bad la, many different stations to see and learn things. but this rayous, was stuck at the dinosaur sand pit lor. so din managed to catch many of the attractions. 

but i guess, so long there is a big space for them to just run and play, they are satisfied liao. hahaa

went to this beauty in the pot at centrepoint. my 1st time there, and it's really v nice!

Attended the annual 喊标event in early Sept this yr.

Alas this yr,  it was a pure dinner event, no 喊标。and apparently, this will be the last yr that this event will be held liao.

I have been attending this annual event for the longest time. Think ever since primary school?? Yes. 

All was good until there was 1yr where there was this towkay who came to 标almost 80% of the items. He literally almost 标everything in the house. 

And since then, he has been attending every yr. And every yr also 标most of the items. Then eventually, most of the tables were occupied by his banglas..... 

Then this yr, heard the news that his business went bust and so, he will not be attending the event anymore. So, without his participation and with less pple attending this event, I guess they decided to stop it once and for all Le ba. 

Haiz. Sad.

This is one event which hubb and I look forward every yr.

Hopefully they decided to change their mind and still hold it next yr ba.

Life really is different when children come along. 

Many many sacrifices... but I guess.. it's all worth it ba.

The most difficult time (thus far), should be the period btw 1 to 2yo. That's the period when they explore WITHOUT listening. 完全没有理由/道理可言。scold also no use, cuz they also don't understand. So... just enjoy and 忍lor. That's where dear didi is at now.... wahahhahaa

I guess things will be better once after 3yo. That's the time when they listen and understand and hopefully, can follow! And that's where rayous is at now...

Yep. So, hoping to see some lights soon. Hopefully once didi is older, the 2 of them can 'auto-pilot' and we can take a break for a while liao.
