Blogging in hubb's car now.. On the way home from rws.. Didi fell asleep liao, and rayous.. Also half asleep, staring into blank space.

Went atas 一下again, this time at Spago Restaurant by Wolfgang Puck, at MBS level 57.

Bread with butter for starter.. 

Cod fish rice!!! $59++

Yeah. Plate is super big, food portion is super small...... 

Angus beef burger. More reasonable, $38++.

And the dessert.... Really one small piece and 1 mini scoop ice cream... $22..

Overall bill came up to be about $160. 

So hubb has got 10% off for his bday month, and, he has got some Sands rewards dollars to offset........ 

And in the end....... We only paid....... $4!!!!!!

Wahahahahaaha.

Very happy. 

OK la, the food is really quite nice la. But the portion is quite small for some of the dishes. 

Tada! 

And tmr, ny eve liao!!!

Day 4 of out staycay at mbs

Yea, stayed 4d3n, should be one of the longest staycay we did liao. Keke

This time smart liao, choose the expensive Japanese bento..

After that was back to room for phototakings before checking out. 

Yeaa. So that summed up our last staycay for the year liao. 

Did 2 staycay in Dec, cuz as what hubb said, the next time we do a staycay, not as easy liao, cuz have to accommodate Mr Rayous's school holiday schedule le. 

So before school starts, 尽量bring them to more places.... 

And yes.... 

New schools will be starting very very soon!!

'Schools' with a 's', cuz raythorous will be changing school too! 

Even I'm feeling the anxiety. 

Haha.

BoXinG DaY - High TeA @ FullerToN BaY HoTeL, ThE LanDiNg PoinT

Boxing day!!! 

Yay! Our tai tai high tea finally materialised!!! 

Yes, we have been wanting to go for high tea for the longest time.... The initial planned venue was goodwood Park. We planned 2x, but both were not successful, and the meet up got cancelled in the end. So we concluded goodwood Park is quite jinxed, and decided to change a location. 

And so, we were at the landing point - at Fullerton Bay Hotel =) 

3 tiered high tea... 

The bottom tier is all the sweet desserts. This tier cannot be refilled. 

The 2nd tier is all the savoury stuff. Can be refilled. 

And the top tier is the scones... Also can be refilled. 

Very happy, finally met up with the gals since we last met in May.... 

And our annual gifts exchange!! 

Last year was at Jo's hse, also boxing day. How time flies!!

Yup, the high tea wasn't cheap at all. All in, close to $80 per pax. If u ask me, its super not worth it lor, $80 for the mini cakes (non refillable somemore) and sandwiches.... 

But I guess its really the ambience and the feel ba.

Taste wise, also so so only. But the fruit cake and scone are quite nice I must say. The rest are what they should taste like lor. 

Anyway, most important is the accompaniment la. 

Happy to have the chance to sit down for few hours and just chat. 

Usually we will meet for wkdays dinner which is quite rush, cuz we meet 7plus and got to 散 at 9plus liao. Unlike in the past, no children, we can happily chat till wee hours...... 

Ha.. 往事不要再提。。。gone were the days.. 

And the boys.. Continue to open presents on boxing day.. Very happy... 

 

Yup, so that's abt all for Xmas. 

Missed the bnf Xmas xchange due to the staycay. Nvm, shall catch up during cny. 

Yup, next up, NY 2022!!!

And of cuz cny which will be very early next yr! 

Woohoo! 

Looking forward. 

And wondering if the restriction will be loosen to 8pax..... Though I feel unlikely it will be..... 

Shall see how! 

Xmas DaY

Merry Christmas!!!

Can't believe we stayed home the whole day!

Cold rainy weather and I can imagine how crowded and long q it will be if we were to dine outside.... 

So just stayed home, and ordered grab food tzi char home. Haha 

And got a Xmas cake from sis in law =)

XmaS EvE

It's Xmas eve!!! 

Picked the boys from school around 1plus, came back napped awhile, and then to our dinner feast at The Line @ Shangri-la. 

Went with much anticipation, cuz the spread on the menu seems soo good! 

Santa claus appearance!! 

Look at the super tiny weeny tabasco sauce. Lol

Honestly.... The spread looks good only... The quality really not very good. Basically only the laksa and sashimi can make it. The rest really not good leh... OK la, I don't want to complain about food, but its really quite disappointing given that its The Line and so damn hell expensive... 

Last year's pan pac was much better in comparison...

Well at least its haggen daz ice cream that they served.. 

After that took some pics around the hotel.. 

 And then did a drove past at orchard road.

Crowded, but definitely MUCH LESS crowded than when it used to be years ago. 

In the past, I remembered the crowd was really madness one. People almost sticking to each other liao, just have to keep walking, cannot stop. 

Then walk every few stretch will have a tall police tent for them to keep a lookout.... 

Then people having foam cans on their hands all ready to party... 

But from what I saw just now... Think the crowd was only 20% of what it used to be. 

Really leh..
