took leave ytd to enjoy some me-time....

the whole intention was for us to sleep till 自然醒. then i will drop him at school, before running my errands and enjoy the me-time. 

who knows.... when he really slept till 自然醒, he said he doesnt wanna go to school and wants me to stay and take care of him. 

diaooo... 

well, i could have 耍狠 and dragged him to school.. but... 谁舍得呀....

so.....in the end...  kenna stuck with this little boy lorrrr...

yeh, went jurong point.... 

pestered me a few times to buy him toys... grrrrr... 

brunch at the foodcourt 

and then brought him to cut his hair..

before i went to run my errands - which was mainly to buy xmas gifts!! 

phew, lucky this boy was still cooperative throughout the shopping. managed to get almost all the presents required liao.

not bad not bad, quite fruitful. 

though i din managed to do the hair treatment which i wanted to, and the shopping for clothes. 

but i guess if i were alone, i probably wont b able to shop for clothes either, cuz the presents were already super heavy.. no mood to shop for clothes liao.. ha.

after that went home at about 3plus b4 we slept till 6plus and woke up for dinner. 

and this boy was telling me that he was very happy. 

=)

if only everyday can be so relaxing and chill.

JJC CurTain Call 5 Oct 2018

so, a number of JCs will be merged and combined.. 

fortunately or unfortunately, my dear JJC is one of the JC that will be merged. and it will shift out of the current premise. sadx. 

and on 5oct, there was a curtain call for all the alumni to come gather and visit for the one last time before the school closes and shifts.

so hubb and i came back to the school, somewhere which i honestly had not visited ever since graduating from there. 

JJC......... honestly, bitter-sweet memories. it wasnt my 1st choice back then. unfortunately, i wasnt good enough for the preferred choices and since many of my sec school mates chose to come to this JC, i followed suit. 

will never forget the super long journey to school. take a bus to bukit merah interchange before taking the 198 to start the 1hr journey to school. really. then i remembered memorising the SAT cards first, before falling asleep on the bus. haa..

the foyer area. i remembered this place as the place where we held the CCA orientation event. u know, the event where all CCA set up booths to attract freshies to join their CCA...?

LT5. the largest LT in the school. honestly, my recollection of JC life is really really very vague and limited. probably becuz it's the shortest stay throughout the education life. pri sch is 6yrs, sec sch is 4yrs, uni is 3yrs, but JC only 2yrs. less the holidays etc, probably only 1.5yrs. so really very vague. 

one of the classroom. this really did not change much. 

and the track! i remembered being super on back then. took own initiatives to run the 2.4km very frequently (but cannot remember how frequent liao. lol)

and the sports area... the suicide window. haha. i got no problem with this.

but, i will always remember this wall. becuz no matter how hard i tried, i just could not get over this wall. that was 1 time, i remembered trying so hard that there was a huge red bump on my arm after the failed attempts. 

and boy, super glad to see some of the old teachers. 

ms betty lim, our form teacher in yr2. super nice lady. unfortunately, she cannot really remember me liao. still looks the same!!! 

符老师, our chinese teacher. honestly did not age much either!!!! what did they eat xia?? 15yrs liao lehh! 

our discipline master!! mr lee hee fok. woohoo! 

mr chin. my physics teacher. he is one teacher whom i truly respect. he's not that kind who will answer your questions directly. rather, he will question you back and make you think, until you get the answer yourself. really. and... and....... he was a teacher who suggested me to take S paper for physics. i really dont know what made him has that idea, but i still truly appreciate that.... that someone does see some potential in me. LOL

and 白老师. a very nice teacher also. always remembered him playing badminton in the hall... and his very funny laughter. 

and this teacher, ms lim li san. my GP teacher. it really took me a while to recognise her. in fact, i also cannot remember her name liao. hahaha... still as skinny as ever. that time when she came to teach us, she was a new graduate from NIE. there were a few of them, all new and young back then. so, i guess she's probably just a few yrs older than us. 

it was quite a big event with 2 stages professionally set up.

and many items to buy for keepsake! we bought the JJC bears and the home t-shirts. 

not bad an event and really glad to see the teachers again. though many were still not there.. 

yay. like i say, jjc, bitter-sweet memories. it wasnt a school that i wanted to go. and the journey to and fro really killed me. 

but there were sweet memories also la. like the 1st 3mths, like going to chalets with friends, 搞暧昧 with classmates (those were the days!!), cheonging for A levels etc etc.... 

and jjc... the place where i met my now husband! OMG! hahahahahahhah

yea... =)

unfortunately, din managed to keep contact with many of the schoolmates. only a handful still in contact nia. but still, better than none la huh. 

yep. so, 3 cheers to my old school ok!! 

and wishing good health to all the ex-teachers and all my jjc friends out there!!

First time to the library! 

Yeah, all the while we've been buying new books for rayous to read. So now then decided to bring him to the library to borrow books.

Umm. The books are really quite old I must say... and just now, after finished reading 2 of them, I discovered the story lines are abit different from what I knew. For eg, we borrowed 'the three little pigs'. All the while, I tot the first pig escaped to the 2nd pig's house and then the 1st and 2nd pigs escaped to the 3rd pig's house. But in this version that we borrowed, the wolf managed to eat the first and 2nd pigs... diaooo...

Anyway, i really cannot remember when I last visited a library liao.

The borrowing system is really quite high tech now. Only need to place all the books (stack them on top of each other) on the platform reader, select the number of books, and that's it! The machine can auto register the books already! Don't even have to do one book at one time. Wow. Fascinating.

Still remb the ancient time when we had to queue and wait for the dear old librarian to scan and chop the due date. Remember there used to be a 'due date' stick-on paper on every front page of the books??!

Those were the days.

GarDens By The Bay & ConTacT LenSes

was on course ytd at gardens by the bay. and they gave a same day one-day pass to the flower dome. as many of them just want to go off after the course, they did not want the passes. so, took 1 pass for hubb and asked him to come join me after work. 

hoho. since there liao and got free entrance, y not right?

the last time we went, we only visited the cloud forest. never been to the flower dome before. and now, it's the xmas tsum tsum theme liao. 

probably our 1st xmas tree for the year

honestly, nothing much inside. it's just like an indoor airconditioned garden, that's all. 

but not bad la, at least now i can say, ive been to the 2 domes before. haha. not so sua-ku.

after that went to make myself a pair of new lenses. went back to the same shop that did my '9yrs-lenses'. quite cheap leh. $150 nia (and i tot the last time i made lenses from them in 2016, they charged me $180?? why now cheaper huh?). called up another optical shop which quoted me $250 and that shop was just a few units away from this current shop. 

really hor. why such a vast difference? and both shops told me the same thing - that the lenses will only be good for 1yr plus. 

and according to this shop, there is only 1 supplier left who is still manufacturing permanent lenses. if that is true, it will mean whichever optical retail shop i go to, they will go to this one same manufacturer to manufacture the lens. so.... why 1 shop charge $150 and the other charge $250 leh?????

that's y.. really must compare around.. 

and according to this gal at the shop, there was a record of me making lenses somewhere around 2013. ok, so perhaps, the lenses did not last me for 9yrs lah, since somewhere around 2013, i did make a new pair. 

hoho.

ok nvm, i can only say, things nowadays really not as lasting as they used to be liao.

the last time we went there was during my maternity. woah, 1yr plus liao eh.... time fliess!! 

that time raythorous was still a little baby... look at this naughty boy now.. 

and the kor kor whom we did not bring along the other time. now... big boy liao! bringing him out is definitely easier than bringing didi out. sure enjoying the sweet treats...! 

ok, this background is not kiseki. it's a neighbouring hotpot restaurant. LOL 

after that went to the roof top garden and see see look look, b4 we went metro to shop for awhile. 

yeah. not too bad a PH. 

surely better than the deepavali last yr.

and now, wtf.. one side of my lens got torn again!! again, thanks to my blog, the last time one side got torn was in dec last yr.  ok, the time line goes like this - collected the lenses in aug last yr. then in dec last yr, one side torn. so i asked for an exchange which they did. and i collected the new lens in jan this yr. and now, one side torn again. 

so.... can i still ask for a 2nd exchange??????

really so lousy leh... technically, the 1st pair of lens torn after abt 4mths. then the 2nd pair now torn after abt 10mths. kaoz, neither can last for a yr! though all in all, it's more than a yr already lah.
