Pregnancy Blood Streaks - Part 2

ok, continue with the blood streaks during pregnancy.

as said, for almost the whole of dec2014, i was on hospitalisation leave. continued to pop pills, take jabs but the blood still did not go away.

i had already fixed a day to meet up a 2nd gynae who was recommended to me by sis-in-law for consultation, when there was plenty of blood on one of the day. so, immediately that day, i went to see the 2nd gynae.

first thing the gynae questioned was why was i being put on such a high dosage of the pills. then after checking, he managed to find out where the blood came from. apparently, there were 2 polyps and the polyps will rub against each other and bleed if i walk too much. his advice to me then was to leave the polyps alone until 12th week when the pregnancy stabilises, before we remove them.

and then, from the loooong hospitalisation leave given to me by the previous gynae, he asked if the previous gynae was going overseas becuz it is not a norm to give a patient such long hospitalization leave without following up. and he was right! the previous gynae was indeed going overseas.

all these just go to show how experience this 2nd gynae is!

so much for the pills and jabs... when it was just polyps causing all the trouble! how come the 1st gynae din managed to find out lehhhh???! caused us to spend so much money and anxiety! made us worried for nothing and made me super low confident about this whole pregnancy!

and before we left the 2nd gynae, he told us to be rest assured and that the baby is going to be alright. that immediately linked me back to what the 1st gynae said to me when i asked him if everything was ok - his reply to me was simply 'fingers crossed'.

-_-"

yes. wad the hell? surely there is something that is more comforting than 'fingers crossed'????????? coming from a gynae to a super fearful and anxious 1st-time pregnant lady looking for some assurance, i think he did not help at all!

ok, dont blame him. perhaps when we consulted him, i was really early into the pregnancy and that's why he couldnt detect what caused the bleeding. and apparently, his expertise is in IVF. that probably explained why he will use such high dosage on his patients.

ok and needless to say, i did not went back to the 1st gynae after that and had been following the 2nd gynae ever since.

dont wanna badmouth the 1st gynae, so shall not 'expose' his identity here. but the 2nd gynae is dr lim ah leng from AL Lim Clinic at thomson medical. lucky sis-in-law recommended him to me.. if i had been stupid and continued with the 1st gynae..... i honestly wondered what would have happened!

that kind of taught me a lesson - some things really do need pple to recommend. and experience do count alot. the 2nd gynae is older than the 1st, so his experience will be much greater than the 1st. really thankful that i found him. phewww!
