OK, it all started with watching 三个愿望 (which was a really good show by mediacorp)... don't know why out of nowhere, hubb just said if I conceived, we shall give kusu island a visit.
and so... since it did come true, we had to fulfil what we (or rather, he) said...
and so.. off to kusu island! ticket is $18 2-way for adults. ferry to be taken at marina south pier but the car parking space at marina south pier is super limited. do go early and park at the nearby marina cruise centre and take a bus back to the marina south pier instead, if u are driving.
ferry journey is about 45mins. it will first go to st john island, before kusu island.
many many years ago, probably when I was still in primary 3 or 4.. I remb visiting kusu island with mum, dad and ah soh annually. after that we stopped visiting le.. till the extent I also cannot remb how kusu island really looked like le.
back to the same place doesn't really bring back much memories either. I don't recall kusu island looking like that. maybe it had changed over the years bah. or maybe that time we went was peak period and more pple with food selling etc. now it's really just like a peaceful island, somewhat like east coast park, but with much much lesser people.
and take note, there's no food or drinks on sale the island. do bring ur own food. go there picnic quite shiok actually, quiet and peaceful. ideal for new BGRs to go there pak-toh. lol.
and no overnight stay is allowed on the island. so can imagine how scary it will be at night.. eiyerr..
and lucky for us, the ferry back was super fast, cuz it skipped st john island and came back to mainland direct. think that ferry was not the scheduled ferry, but some other ferry that was coming back to mainland and shun bian bring us back (and the others who were waiting for the scheduled ferry). the journey back probably took only 20mins, saved us so much time. hiak hiak.
