PerTh Day TwO

we rented a car on the 2nd day. large portion of our money was spent on the rental of the car and im wondering if we could have just taken public transport instead. but according to the cab driver who drove us to the airport on the departure date, the public transport system in perth sucks and the buses/trains do not come regularly. so thou ex, we were spared the hassle of having to plan the routes, find out wad bus/train to take, carrying our barangs barangs, wasting time on waiting etc etc.

our singapore driving licenses serve well in aus. traffic is better than sg and the drivers are also friendlier in the sense that they will allow u to 'cut' them and they wont follow ur back too closely. rental each day, inclusive of insurance and the GPS rental, was abt AUD74 which is approx sgd96. so for 6days, we each have to fork out abt sgd300. actually quite worth it lah, given the convenience that we enjoyed.

1st place on our 2nd day was to swan valley. it's a whole stretch of driving road with many shops along the way. we went to the caversham wildlife park 1st.

~ but that's of cuz, since i have feeds in my hand! kekeke. the feeds are in this big container and free for all to take and feed the kangeroos. a lack of biz acumen here, isint it? in most parks that i'd visited, we have to pay for the feed if we want to feed the animals. but here, it's free. i tot they could have just made us pay for it. ~

~ foxy. resembles the previous dog that hubb's bro used to have ~

~ another lack in biz acumen. they have someone there to help u take pics with your camera. was thinking why dont they take with their own camera and sell the pics to us later on just like wad many attractions are doing. that animal is a wombat. i always tot wombat is a kind of bats. kekek. turned out to be a furry fat lazy bear-like animal. ~

~ and with the koalas. but they are back facing. ~

~ next we visited this famous chocolate factory. also along swan valley. ~

~ really got free choco tasting leh! it's all there and u just eat and sample wad u want. i shld have gotten bottles to tabao some back yea? ~

~ the chocolates here are not cheap at all. cheapest will also cost abt sgd8. i spent like sgd70+ in this shop just buying chocolates! diao ~

~ next was to hay street. shopping area ~

~ 6.30pm and many of the shops are closed already. but some are still operating lah. not exaggerated till all closed. some restaurants, convenience stores are still operating de.. can still walk around de.. ~

~ i simply loveeee risotto. yummmmmm! ~~~

~ and our supper for the night. oven pizza that we bought from the supermart and heated up with the oven in our room. kekekek ~

one thing to note was the manifestation of flies in perth. yes, there are many flies around and they are real disturbing. they keep coming to irritate u. worse part was when we were at the wildlife park. soo soo many flies. i think worse still in summer time. so if u are visiting, do bring along a swat to battle with the flies!
