wanted to eat sushi tei @ raffles city on thurs nite, but despite already 8.30pm, the restaurant was full and we were told tt we'll probably have to wait another half hr b4 a table is available.

ended up in this HK cafe - streets cafe. seriously, i dont really like eating at HK cafes found in singapore. i think the food in most HK cafes tt i've tried b4 are CMIs. somemore, i find the food not worth the value. esp those nissin noodle. maggi mee + egg + luncheon + veg = $6++. wad for? i also can cook myself!

but hubb loves eating at HK cafes. i wonder y. above was his order tt day. i tell u, the portion is really small small small.

tt's my black pepper beef bake rice. i have no idea y, but the cheese couldnt melt at all. the cheese became all clumpy and like one big rubbery glooey stuff. had no choice but to ask for a re-do. 2nd time round better, but part of the cheese still turn clumpy.

big portion it may appear, the rice portion is in fact v little. and, it looks delicious when in fact, it's not so!

sweet and sour pork.. more flour than real meat. perhaps only the ying-yong is good.

and it's yet another restuarant which employs MICs with no QC cuz they have no idea wad tobasco sauce is.

seriously, it's quite enuff. everything's thumb down. i will not give it another try and you shouldnt too.

while everyone is heading down to orchard to visit the hippiest new malls, i headed down to clementi on sat afternn for the same purpose. apparently there's a new mall nxt to clementi mrt station - 金满地. haha.

actually our purpose there is to visit the jap restaurant which sells sushies at 99cents.

now is the promo period and all white plates r going at 99cents. however their white plates choices are not as wide so those in sakae. chawanmushi for one, is not considered a white plate and it's selling at $4 per cup.

the food is normal, the sushies are small which i like cuz i really hate it when the rice is sooo big and the meat can barely cover the rice!

i guess it's only worth it if u solely go for the white plates, if not, the price is not tt cheap either. and as wad i said earlier, many of wad i like is not under their white plate list...

went chinatown after clementi. wanted to go genting for the national day wkn, who knows, it's all fully booked in all agencies tt we enquired! juz now i went online and chk out the hotel bookings and true enuff, there's no available rooms!

din know it's soooooo hot. wad now? no one wants to stay in singapore to celebrate huh??

and i tot the economy is not doing well and pple are being laid off??? how come there are tons n tons of pple booking tours in the tour agencies lehhh????
