A FinE LinE

was at orchard ytd.. went to the new malls - ion and central.. impressive buildings.

ion's exterior gave me the feel as if i was in las vegas. all the colorful bright lights.... 五光十色.. and with all the branded shops... it gave me the impression as if i was in some rich, sophisticated land. the feeling is weird but it's like going into a virtual rich world and losing the reality.. o well..

the thing i love abt central is that there are many seats for pple to sit down and rest, something rare in shopping centres nowadays. pros and cons cux some pple really doze off while sitting there and it doesnt make the picture looks good. but central has a very very wierd layout. unlike most shopping centres whereby it's wide and spacious and u get to see everything once u enter the mall, central has many narrow pathways. it's like you have to cross one narrow pathway b4 u get to see another side of the mall. perhaps many of the shops are still renovating, tt's y. anyway, it's a super tall bulding and there are many exterior long escalators. not advisable to take them if ur wearing skirt. many shops and new restarants but all looked expensive... real tough competition out there.

was walking along the street when we came across a large crowd. and so, they were looking at this street artiste 'painting'. painting in inverted commas cux he's not using brush and paint, but rather, spray paints.

if his works are all truly done using solely sprays, then i must say, it's really impressive. look at these...

and then, a tot crossed my mind. using the spray to spray on paper with some artistic touch = a piece of inspiring artwork. but using the spray to spray on public properties or other pple's properties = vandalism + fine + jail term + cane.

how fine is the line of differentiation huh?

similarly was at one of the top levels of central when we saw construction workers working on the buliding opposite. this particular worker was at this super dangerous spot whereby he will fall if he missed a footing. then he was supposed to put some heavy metal thing in place. many pedestrains were walking below the building and if his hand slips, the metal will juz fall and dont know how many pple will get hurt.

at that point, i tot to myself - arent his hands juz as important as the hands of a surgeon???

things r no longer the same at workplace. everyone realised that.... except me... still lala-ing in my lala-land.

was at vivo city on sunday nite and there was this fair on taiwan's food. muah chee, sun biscuits, mee sua, tea etc. came across the instant noodle and bought 2 types to try.

very convenient to cook, cuz u'll juz need to put the noodle and condiments into a bowl, pour in hot water, cover with a plate and wait for 3 mins and tada!

a very nice bowl of 牛肉面! yummy!!

the noodle is fatter than the common instant noodle hence the 口感 is better and the soup also tastier.. but i supposed more salt and ajinomoto involved too. and the price also more ex. 5packets for $3.90.

was at bugis with hubb yesterday. did some good shopping. it's time to give my wardrobe a revamp as many of my clothings are a little worn out le. not too bad, managed to get 3 tops, 2 skirts and 2 pairs of shoes. later probably will go shop again. better buy more with the sale on.. ;)

i have alot to comment on my stone rice. when it arrived, im very disappointed with the pathetic portion of salmon in there. there r only like 3 slices of salmon (with alot of rice). then the waitress poured the sauce in and i took a pic b4 stirring.

it's somewhat like pepper lunch, juz tt this one is served in a stone rice bowl. after stirring, it became soo smoky and i was 'trapped' in the smoke for the nxt 10mins. i can feel my hair, face, clothings all kenna smoked out.

apparently from the instructions above, i should be the one pouring the sauce myself so that i know how much is enuff.. so why did the waitress pour all the sauce in w/o asking for my preferences lehhh????

anyway, i can tell u, the 1st mouth is fantanstic! it's soo sooo sooo yummy!! i cannot describe how nice tt 1st mouthful is (and so is the nxt 10 mouthfuls), you juz have to try it yourself.

but something v strange abt this rice is that the marginal utility decreases at a super quick rate. after probably that 11th mouthful, you'll start to find the whole dish abit tooo much. you'll start to realise there's nothing else in there except for rice, rice and RICE. then u start to realise that it's actually very saltish and you wouldnt want to continue eating anymore.

yep, tt's how i feel. probably the dish is only nice when it's real piping hot. and probably, the waitress should have gone easy with the sauce so tt it's not so saltish. anyway, i probably will not give it a 2nd try though the initial taste was vv good.
