大年初二 started with a visit to the clinic. yeah, this rayous, down w fever since thurs night. fever came and go, came and go. highest was at 40.4 deg!
well, the mantra is to wait for at least 3days to see if the body can recover from the infection itself, before seeing doc. else, the doc will also ask us to kiv, while giving the standard brufen/paracetamol.
initially it was quite bad, the fever was high, and even after giving him brufen, it came down by a bit only. but the later few days, though the fever is still high, it came down to normal temperature after brufen given. so, it was an improvement already. and his behavoir was still quite normal and still can eat and play.
so we planned to bring him to c doc on cny eve if the fever persists. but on cny eve, the fever subsided, so we tot he was ok already. who knows, the fever came back again...
duh...
by then, too late liao, all paedi closed for cny already. so we just monitor and continue with the brufen/para first.
but then he began to look and behave more and more sian.......and the fever continued to come and go. that's when we got really worried.
so no choice, no paedi, we just called up a family clinic which was opened on 初二 which said they do see young children. brought him there lor.
tada! snacked out at the mac next door, while waiting for our turn at the clinic.
let them indulge once in a while la huh.. this poor rayous, hasnt been eating much....
so the doc gave him antibiotic and some other drugs. so far so good... so shall monitor lor.
ahhhh... children.... really make us super worried... 这个新年真是过得忐忑不安...
after that was to mum's place for reunion lunch
our 2 little handsome again!
