friday - last weekday of hubb's ICT. 

day to bring the big boy out!!!! 

to this LOL Playland at Jcube.. 

bumped into pikachu on our way there. hahaha. 

this LOL playland.. i got to know this place when rayous's school wanted to bring them there one day. and it was recommended for the parents to go together. but, that time, we did not sign him up, cuz i was heavily pregnant and dont think can accompany him there. so in the end, he didnt get to go. again, i was super guilty about it. could have brought him to so many places if i werent pregnant.

and i promised myself that i will make it up. 

so here we are! at the LOL Playland. 

forgot to bring our own socks, so had to buy at $2 per pair. lucky the material quite good and design quite nice, not like those simple white socks. haha

ok, now he's more okay to roam and play. the previous few times we brought him to such indoor playgrounds, he was largely contented w playing w the cars only. 

really happy to be able to spend time just w him. kids really really do grow up fast. i really wish i dont have to miss a thing.. 

oh, and just received an email saying that this LOL playland will be closing down end nov. wah... lucky xia.. lucky did not sign for the package when they intro to me that day! else now have to rush and finish off the sessions liao. phew! 

ok, after playing at LOL, was pigging out at burger king. ok, very wrong to introduce him to fast food and i bet many eyes were looking at me, thinking how irresponsible a parent im. but, who cares? when he's eating super healthy stuff like rice, fish, eggs, veggie, meat... did they see? so.. i kind of come to terms that we really do not have to care too much about what other pple see, so long we ourselves, know what's going on. once in a while indulgence, why not?

and after that.. on the way home... he's fast asleep liao! hahahaha

yay. he's now at an age when he's really super cute (yes, at times, super irritating also!). can interact, learns very fast, talks alot, many actions. sometimes i look at him, i was secretly wishing that he can remain at this age and dont grow up anymore. haha. 

yeah. really must treasure and be w them as much as possible. once grow up, they will need less of me liao. 

uh-oh. 

ok, dont think and worry too much. 

just enjoy!! 

Ok, it's the end of my trial SAHM period.

Hubb's ICT is over, he has officially MR, and we will be back to work tdy!

Ahhhhh

OK.  Initially was quite worried about this period when he's not around. Like the logistics part, how to deliver the milk to didi who is at MIL's place... how to pick and send Rayous home... and the maid.. where to put her etc etc.. and I even had an itinerary planned! Haha!

But, 船到桥头真的会直。

Somehow it just got all sorted out.

I must say I will miss this period a lot.  

Maybe more so than my maternity period.

Maternity period I din really go out except for dinners. But this one, I get to go out, do my own things, spend time w the boys etc.

It's a very routine kind of life. Work is also routine, but we get to deal with different cases and deal w different people. This one just need to deal w family members. 

Definitely less stressful also, although there are times when I lose it cuz Rayous was not cooperative. 

Still need to wake up early, but I get to sleep early too  And not to mention all the naps in between. 

But this trial is mainly handling only 1 boy. I think I will kee siao if have to handle both, which I have to, if I really want to be full time SAHM. And probably no more maid to help me...........

OK.  So, let's just enjoy the 'once in a while' trial period which I really did this time round. 

Next trial will be end of Dec, when parents in law are off travelling and I have to take care of both boys.

Thursday!

Brought raythorous out after dropping Rayous at school. 

Tada!

Not easy w a baby in front and a big haversack behind. That time went hk also carried Rayous like that, but somehow, now like more kang kor carrying raythorous. Maybe age really catching up liao. 

Uh oh. Now I really getting worried for our Taiwan trip next yr. Ummmmm..

Anyway, Raythorous fell asleep after awhile and for once, I harboured the tot of shabu-saiing myself while carrying him. Serious!

But lucky I din, cuz he woke up shortly after.

In the end just walk walk around toysrus to shortlist Xmas presents.

Haa.

Taking a bus =)

Proud of myself. Like finally dare to bring (one of) them out on my own liao. Lol!!

Yay, sent raythorous back to mil's place and picked Rayous from school..

Dropped rayous to school and went shopping at westgate.. 

Sounds like plenty of time, but somehow, don't know y will always end up in a rush.

In the end only managed to go popular buy some stuff for rayous's school project (again!), quick look around at kiddy palace, ntuc picked some groceries... that's about it.

Sounds really like an auntie's schedule huh.

OK,  quick dinner at sushi express. Yes. Again.  Haha.

And picking the boy from school. Fell asleep on bus again. 

Sometimes I wonder what the school made him do. Y always like soo tired after school.

OK.  So hubb's ict is coming to an end and that means my holiday is also coming to an end.

So far still quite enjoyable.

V routine. Rayous will wake up at around 7plus. Then make milk for him, let him watch video while I pump, then play with him. Then he will nap at around 10am and wake up for lunch at around 12pm. Then we will leave home at 1.45pm and drop him at school by 2.30pm. Then I'm free for 3hrs before having to pick him at 5.30pm. After he reaches home, he will nap and wake up at around 8pm for dinner. Then bedtime at around 10.30pm and the routine starts again.

Now.. what's missing out in the routine is...raythorous! 

Yes, poor didi has been with parents in law all these while. Only get to see him briefly when I deliver milk to MIL's place after dropping rayous at school. Have contemplated the idea of keeping both boys with me, but i think that will be super tough especially when i dont trust the maid and i dont want her to help me w the boys.

And now rayous don't wanna stay overnight at MIL's place liao, if not, I could have bring raythorous home for the night while rayous stays w MIL.

Yeah, so.. guilty towards raythorous, but I promise promise promise to make it up ok.

For a start, tmr's plan is to go shopping w raythorous after dropping rayous.

Not easy to bring one kiddo out. 

Will try tmr.

Dropped rayous at school and went shabu sai at westgate w in-laws.

This shabu sai thing was intro to me by a colleague. We usually will eat the lunch buffet at orchard central.

The price at the westgate outlet is slightly lower, but the food variety also lesser.  For one, they don't serve sushi and fruits.

And......... the worse thing was....... there was no wasabi!!!!!!

Real disappointing!

What's shabu shabu without wasabi??!

Omg lor.  

And raythorous wasn't quite as cooperative this time round. Kept throwing tantrum. Couldn't sai in peace. 

OK.  Tai tai me shall sai alone next time.

If there's a next time (to be tai tai), that is.

after that went makan at sushi express, before going back to sch to fetch the boy. 

abit of a rush cuz spent quite some time waiting at the banks.

ok, i think the other patrons would think that im very er xin.. cuz one person and 自拍-ing at the restaurant.. but i dont care! ok la, i care la. i also felt v paisay..... LOL 

w the boy on the bus. today smart liao. know exactly where to take the bus liao. no going ho-lan anymore.. hahahahah

Day 3 of Hubb's ict 

OK la.  Tdy and tmr not counted cuz he gets to book out.

This morning attended his professional engineer dedication day.

 yea. He's obtained the professional engineer certification!

Day 2 of Hubb's ict.

Finally get to do the long-delayed hair treatment after dropping rayous at school.

Haha. Tai tai!!!!

And I was advised not to go swimming for the next 2 wks, else the treatment done will be down the drain. 

Uhhh.. was still planning to go swimming on Mon and Tues.  Grrrr. 

After that picked rayous up and boo boo again!!

Took the bus from the wrong direction! 

In the past when I picked rayous up, I will bring him back to MIL's place first. But this time round, is to bring him home direct. To go MIL's place, is to take bus from this side. And I totally forgotten that to go home, is to take the bus from the opposite side!

And it wasn't until we reached imm, that I realised we took the bus from the wrong side.

Diaooo.

In the end, alight, cross the bridge and take the jus from opposite.

And kenna the knock off period. Bus was so crowded and road was jam.

Lucky got pple offer seat and lucky rayous fell asleep.

Super blur me. 

Wasted almost one whole hr becuz of this.

day 1 of 'life without hubb'. 

yay, as mentioned earlier, hubb's on ICT and im kidda all on my own. without him is still ok, but without his car, it's a big headache!!!! 

i honestly should have been more zai in driving. then i could have taken his car to drive while he's away on ICT. grrrr... why??? why i so buay zai??????! 

anyway, 1st day already tried to be adventurous. 

been wanting to sit down and have a good steamboat meal (yes, simple thing like having a good steamboat also so difficult these days!). so took this opportunity to jio the folks for steamboat and maybe shopping after that. 

then this ah ji come and ka jiao and coerced me to bring along raythorous. and... i actually agreed! 

diaooo.. steamboat with a baby... best! 

and travelling all the way to wilkie edge (where the steamboat restaurant is) all by myself and without a car........ double best!!! 

ok la, actually i was quite looking forward to taking raythorous out on my own. to be honest, i have never really taken either of them out on my own before. really. 

yes, im lousy. but i really dont know how to handle if they start throwing tantrum outside and im all by myself w no help. 

but being a 2nd time mom, im more confident. and im confident in raythorous. i dont think he will give me a difficult time. 

so the initial plan was to meet at the folks place, then we all cab/uber/grab down together. that will effectively mean taking a bus to boon lay mrt, then take the train to tiong bahru mrt, then take a bus again to the folk's place. super challenging and im really not sure if it's feasible.. but im still looking forward to try.

who knows by the time im all ready to leave home, it's already quite late. so i told them i will cab there and meet them at wilkie edge directly. but.. the stubborn side of me still want to try to take the public transport.. 

and indeed... 出师不利!

board the bus and the pram got stuck at the entrance! somehow, i managed to get the pram onto the entrance, but after that, the wheels got stuck, literally! the driver gotta help me but regardless how we sqz, the wheels are too big and cannot move in. in the end had to carry raythorous and fold the pram. but by then, im already too embarrassed to board the bus liao. and the driver also kidda pissed at me.. said how i managed to sqz the pram in in the first place. diaooo! 

after that MIL told me that i should have board from the back door. grrrr. see? really jialek leh me... 

anyway, in the end decided to just take a cab and not be a hero. 

then came 2nd part of the nightmare. after we reached the destination, the cab uncle helped to bring out the pram from the boot. then, he tried to help open the pram w me telling him how, but somehow, the pram cannot open. then came the security guard who also tried to help open the pram, but cannot. in the end the cab uncle helped me carry raythorous while i try to open the pram. but who knows, i also cannot open! then the road started to jam w cars cuz our cab is blocking the way. really stress leh! this darn pram..  really one trouble.. 

and finally.. after much torture and hardship.. my long craved for steamboat!!

it's call hai xian lao.. at wilkie edge. i felt it's as good as hai di lao and cheaper.

halfway through the meal it started raining.... and non-stop. and this place is not near any mrt. so we were kidda trapped. see? if got car, then dont have to bother so much liao, just drive and go! in the end, took a cab and send the folks home before going to MIL's place. 

to and fro, about $50 spent just in cab fare alone. grrr. so darn bloody expensive. 

ok, nvm, i wont give up. i will still attempt to bring the boys out on my own. at least now i know, if i were to bring the pram along, i must board the bus from the back door, not the front door. and i guess i know how to operate the pram better now.

haha!

And so, I'm on leave for the same period of time!

Yay!

Happy but also fearful at the same time.

Happy cuz can take a break from work.

Fearful cuz scare it will be more tiring and frustrating than at work!

But.. I did harbour the tot of being a SAHM, didn't I? 

So now got a chance to trial it out liao.

Ha.

OK. Hope to spend individual time w each boy, and of cuz, spend some time for myself.
