MaCaU DaY 2 - 7/11/2013

day 2 of the trip - still in macau...

 

 

 

visit to the senado square...nothing much has changed since our last visit in 2011..

 

the famous Macanese 豬扒包

 

it's nice, but I personally don't really like it... cuz the bun is big and tough...the texture is like those French loaves... v famous in macau.. almost everywhere is selling..

the super famous 鉅記. it's really popular in macau especially on this street! almost one shop every 20 steps away. u can see visitors carrying bags and bags of goodies from the brand. now this brand is also available in Singapore, in Chinatown. but too bad, the egg tarts are not selling in Singapore. hopefully they'll bring in soon.

if you are at the posh casinos areas of macau, u will think macau is a very posh and atas place. but actually, those areas aside, macau is actually v old and backwards....

 

 

the buildings are really old......

 

after that, we shifted to our accommodation for the 2nd night - venetian hotel!

 

it's really really nice and comfy!

I love the bathroom. super big and v palace feel...

toilet roll inside!! need to use such a nice bag to wrap a toilet roll mahh..?

 

and then we ordered in room service for dinner.... the service was really really good...!!

 

they literally brought the whole table up and into the room!!

 

after dinner and resting, of cuz it was casino time again! and of cuz, this time round, was losing time!! booohooooooo

 

and then there was some free drinks redemption given by the hotel....

Dreams

Can someone tell me how to sleep without having to dream, literally. I think I read somewhere before that ur brain is not totally at rest if u have dreams while sleeping. That probably explains y I'm always tired and doesn't feel fresh after a night's sleep. Having all kinds of crap dreams. I want to stop dreaming!!

MaCau Day 1 - 6/11/2013

how time flies... the trip is over!! it's back to work!!!.. ooooohhhh :(

anyway, the flight was initally booked for 6+am.. but later on, it was changed to 12+pm... which means we can slp later, dont have to reach the airport in the wee hours.. but also means we will reach macau later... kind of 'eaten' our time.. 

breakfast at the airport.. as mentioned, wanted to go for mac bf, but it was about 1055am, and they already started serving the afternn menu. so settled for something else..

tiger's seats are really small......even smaller than jetstar's..

it was already 4+pm by the time we reached macau. checked in hotel, rest a while... and dinner time!

portuguese egg tarts are a must-must-muuuuuust eat!!!! i lovvvvvve them!!!

1st meal in macau.. some hot and spicy beefballs beehoon.. :)

 and then, it's time to try our luck at the casinoes!!

i tell u, it was really a good luck day for me. i actually won the triples in the sic-bo game!the dices came up to be triple 2, and the return was 1 to 150x!! sooo happy! on that day, i won HKD1,000 (S$161).

but then, it was only that day which was lucky. the next day and the next next day, i lost that 1K which i won, and in addition, lose another HKD1.5k (S$242) of my own money! cant believe it... heart pain!!!

and though there are alot of grudges over the levy which s'porean have to pay if they visit the 2 casinos in sg, i must say i really appreciate that effort. imagine, if there is no such levy, it would be so easy to visit the casinoes. whenever there is nothing to do or no place to visit, then just go to the casinoes loh.

the 1st time is out of curiosity. the 2nd time is to see see look look. the 3rd time is to enjoy the free drinks. the 4th time is to try the luck. the 5th time is to win again. the 6th time is to recoup losses. the 7th time is to try again in the hope to recoup more losses. by the 8th time, it would be a habit already. and u slowly realise, u cant do w/o gambling.

seriously, in the long run, one is bound to lose and the casino is bound to win. when u win, u think u r on the winning strike and you wouldnt want to leave. but the fact is, you wouldnt always be winning, and it's worse when you lose, as when you lose, all the more you wouldnt want to leave, cuz you would want to recoup the losses. and in the vie to recoup losses, you lose even more, and you are more buay gam wan to leave... so, in the end, u will just gamble, gamble and gamble. it's really a vicious cycle that you will definitely fall into, if you do not have good self-control.

in macau, there are free shuttle buses provided by the various casinoes to fetch visitors from the hotels or from one casino to the other. inside the casinos, they serve all kinds of free drinks - coffee, milk tea, bottled drinks etc etc. seriously, they are not afraid to offer you all these freebies. the only thing casinos fear is that no one is coming.

只要你来，就一定有的赚。

 

although if one wants to gamble, nothing can stop. but i must say, the $100 levy did deter many from visiting, and with such deterence, prevented many from falling into the gambling pit.

小赌怡情，大赌肯定无益。与大家共勉之。

blogging from the mongkok mtr station now. 11pm, but everywhere is still packed with pple!!! really loveee the vibrancy!!

 

just finished shopping at argly centre. bought 3 flats, 1 jacket, and 2 skirts. hopefully can fit in... lol...

 

and... lost sgd200+ at the casinos!!!! wth!!!! heartpain!! :(

 

back in another 4days....

 

i wanna burn my passport!!!

Off To MaCaU/HK!!

blogging from the changi airport now.. just had curry chicken rice breakfast... wanted to go for mac breakfast, but they are serving lunch already. hoho..

rightfully, the flight should be 6am+ this morning, and we shld already be in macau now. but due to flight changes, our flight changed to 12.35pm instead. also good lah, dont have to wake up so early....

 

will be off to macau 1st for 2 days... followed by HK for another 5days... yeahhh!!

 

back next wed...

Finally!

yay! im finally on leave!!!

the last airplane holiday was to maldives in may.. this time round to macau/hk..

in just a short span of 6months.... so much had happened at work...

pple coming and leaving... change of mgmt and directions... start of nightmare that couldnt stop haunting.. showing of true colors and evilness.. sabotage.... deceit... fake fronts... etc etc.....

and, i finally had the courage to do something which i had wanted to do all these while... and i did it!! 给自己的生日礼物。

 but mockingly at the end of it.. i retracted the 礼物 and gave in... just too many uncertainties... and really did not feel as good as i thought.....

with the retraction, 是祸是福，不知道.  but 应该不会是祸.....因为大不了就再做一次罢了。。。

anyway, last week was supposed to be a superrrrrr relax week... but ironically, it turned out to be a superrrr busy week. yah..是我自找的，怪不了人...

but i promise myself, that it will be the last time that im working till so late at work. when im back to work after the hols, i shall make it a point to leave by 730pm. ive been spending so much time at work, that im neglecting all the other things in my life..... and it's really taking a toil on me... i was tired.. my neck and shoulder hurt like mad...my mood was foul... i couldnt do the things i want to do.....wkend was wasted on recuperation.... and at the bottom of it, y am i the only one suffering like that? enough.  

 

i shall learn to take things easy... if everyone else can do it, y cant i???

just drop and go! 我行的!!!
