and so, cny has come to an end.. time fliessssss!!!!

time to count the number of yusheng i had this year :)

as blogged earlier, 1st one was a take-away from sakae. 2nd one was the one during lunar 2nd day at granny's house.

this should be the 3rd one. on v-day at sushi tei with my ex team mates (yes, the team with mr irritating...)

the 4th one, on v-day dinner, with hubb and his parents, at a chinese restaurant opposite jurong east mrt station..

the 6th one.. with ex colleagues.. at hongkong street restaurant in novena..

the 7th one was with hubb at genting..

this is the 8th one... in office..

the 9th one with bnf gang... at dian xiao er..

the 10th one.. during team lunch at zhou's kitchen....

and the 11th and last one, with family at din tai fung.. :)

wahahahha, 11!! good! last year was 10, and this year 11! got improvement! lol 

 it's yummy, symbolises good thing, and most importantly, brings pple together. to lao for a better tmr, to lao for better luck, to lao for a better everything!

there should have been more yu-sheng this year, but some gatherings were cancelled due to last minute aeroplane..

and din get to lao with the gals this year, cuz it was madness that day we met for dinner. almost every restaurant in raffles city was crowded with pple. wanted to lao at sushi-tei or din tai fung, but both lonng q. in the end, we had dinner at watami which does not serve yusheng. boohoo..

ok, and so, new year celebration period is over.. no more excuses to slack and to spend money.. and time for some serious dieting too.

life is really full of ironies....

there are some pple whom u would love to avoid, but yet, with a little 'twist of fate', u have to start facing them..

and then there will also be pple whom u think u will never meet again. but then...... somewhere, somehow, the paths crossed again...

i guess the only way to escape is to quit totally. to leave totally and cleanly. i need a break.

but, will that make any difference?

V-Day CuM CnY ShorT GeTaWay - 16/2/2013 - 18/2/2013

just back from genting...good relaxing v-day cum new year trip :)

took the morning coach on sat. our breakfast..

embarking on the 7hr bus journey. seriously, it sounds like a long journey. but it really doesnt feel all that long...maybe cuz we were allowed to alight at a few stops.. hence the whole 7hr doesnt feel like 7hr afterall. and on our journey there, the whole bus only has 4 passengers - us and another couple from china.

i realised most of my pics are food food and more food. the last time we went genting was during my birthday in 2011, which was slightly more than a year back, hence no new activities to do this time round except to eat and gamble. really need to start dieting after cny...

the cai sheng theme which runs through genting.... cai sheng is almost everywhere u go... huat ah!

super cold.. love the chill cool weather.. no sweat..

dinner was yu-sheng + black pepper udon..

my 7th yu-sheng for the year (4th was with colleagues, 5th was with hubb's parents and 6th was with ex-colleagues.. will blog abt those later)

not much activities this time round, hence my pics are all on food. went to the casinoes, caught the freeze2 performance, did some shopping.. that's abt all. relaxing trip. good place to visit for just a short getaway. :)

CNY 2013

wow, i seriously cannot believe that it is back to work tmr.... the cny hols.... over just like that??! grrrrrrr... why sooo fast??! but already considered lucky that 初三 is a holiday, if not, we would have been back to work today liao.

werent expecting any early release on friday, but lucky for us, boss said we could go off at 3pm if there's nothing urgent.. happy.. went do some last minute shopping at chinatown..

除夕dinner was at qian xi summer garden at mount faber safra. as mum's leg hasnt fully recovered, she decided to have our reunion dinner in a restuarant this year. not cheap.. a course for 6pax costed close to $400... but we were spared the hassle of having to cook, wash etc... wonders of money huh..

the food is good, and the ambience is good too. should have considered this location for my wedding banquet... hmm...

after dinner, we went chinatown to catch the fireworks and fire crackers..

and with that, we ushered in the year of snake!! love that cuteee snake at the back! it's really cool! thumbs-up!!

初一at uncle's house.. the steamboating session is my fave!

and am soo glad that everyone is happy with the buffet catering that i arranged for the celebration at popo's house.. phew! lucky no hiccup like last year... katong catering - good food, service and portion.

and my 3rd yusheng for the year! huat lah!

and then.. it was gambling time!!! soo much fun!
