day 5 we changed hotel from royal castle to lilai.. the room is big, but a little old and definitely not as classy as royal castle. the reception's kidda run-down too. but given the price we paid, i think we cannot complain too much ba. anyway, the locations for both accomodations were not as good as wad i read on the websites.. both require some walking.. lilai comes with breakfast though..

our 6th day was to jioufen and night time was to beitou. think only took 1 pic in jioufen.. too busy looking for gifts and stuff..... ~

7th day was the last day.. one of the last few things we ate in taipei.. the "lor bak rice".. hubb's all-time favorite.. i wondered how many bowls he ate all the time he was there... and it's really cheap too! think nt30 or something like tt.. yum!

mac was not eaten on the last day though.. eaten on one of the last few nights.. cant remb which nite liao. hehe. ~ this one is kiddy meal.. comes with a cute little xiao wan zi's toy ~ gd momento!

last day we juz roamed around in xmd.. went to this restuarant that also sells plush toys in all sizes (and prices, of cuz)! the seats are actually swings. real cool ~

there was also this toilet theme restuarant tt we came across. i wanted to go try de, but tt boy tot it's kidda disgusting.. arrgh! i regretted so much for not insisting to go in!!! i hate tt boy!!

back abt 10pm+.. and i spent like >1hr in the DFS shops.. heh~

when we were finally ready to collect the luggages.. the screen on the belt was already showing another flight.. and the luggages for our flight were already moved to elsewhere.

great effort in picking our stuff.. and then.... we realised hubb's luggage was not there at all! i was soo worried! he was already unhappy tt i spent so long in the shops when he kept reminding me tt our luggages were still lying around. if his luggage was wrongly collected by someone else cuz we werent there to collect them ourselves, he'll surely blame me!!!

but lucky, after clarifications with the officers there, it was confirmed that his luggage was not taken by someone else. rather, his luggage was wrongly sent to HK instead! wad luck for his luggage! get to travel to HK lehh! wahhah

okay, i don know y such a mistake occured, but i believe it's kidda common. given the number of flights coming in and going out, the tight schedules, the dozens and dozens of similar looking luggages.. it's not suprising tt things get wrongly delivered. i juz wonder y were we the 'lucky' ones.. lol ~

i was juz glad we were coming home and not travelling out or waiting for some transit or likes. the incident did not affect us much. and lucky there were no valuables or perishables in the luggage. anyway, the luggage was delivered to his house the nxt day. yepp..

o, and we proceeded to eat BK after the issue with his luggage was clarified b4 catching cabby home.

think this is one of the best trips we had.. did we quarrel?? yes, we did.. but not tt bad i supposed. and the weather was v cool and comfy... something really rare in singapore.

i really really miss those days...

*

and the urge to travel...... it's coming back again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on the way back in xmd, many street artists were performing. and this old uncle was performing paper-cut of human sideview.. no specific cost, u just pay wad u want (but no more than NT100).. if u want it to come with a stand, then it'll be the max amt NT100. and so, i tried. good momento i thought. but many pple looking on the street lar.. so abit embarrassing ~ ha ~*

the result.. not tt alike hor.. the papercut prettier than me.. boo ~ hahaha ~

STanD-StilL

my previous few entries were all short n hasty... long time since i've the time (and energy and mood) to sit down and surf and post a long entry...

life seemed to have come to a stagnant point. towards the end of the 1st-quart, i've basically achieved nothing! no plans to travel (cruise not counted, k) yet, license not obtained yet, bonus not announced yet, and the $ in my a/c is growing at an extraordinarily slow rate.... everything is going haywire and not as planned!!! S**T !!

this is juz so demoralising.. im truly feeling the impact of the economic crunch. if the crisis never occured, i think i will not be soo low now. at least pt 1, 3 and 4 as above will not happen...

wad to do when the industry which ur in is the most badly hit?

but well, at least i still have a job and earning stable income huh? at least im still required to do OT and have the opportunity to earn ya? unlike those grad who grad this year... or those who kenna retrenched... or those who got pay cut... or those who are requested to go on unpaid leave... or those who have less work to do.......................

so i should count myself lucky huh?

PiZzA DaY

it's a new mth! and the last month to the 1st quart of the year.

wahha ~

ordered pizza home tdy. 2 for $19.90.. to top-up to the family fav flavours will need another $1 each. and so, we top-up the flavour to hawaiian and ocean catch.

however, when the order came, it was one hawaiian and one ham&srooms. tt means, only one of the pizza was top-up, the other wasnt. and tt means, i've paid more...in addition, the receipt tt was issued to me was errornous as well..

and so, i gave pizza hut a call to inform them. im really worried tt they'd charged the wrong amt to my card. the guy who picked up, after hearing me, offered to send another pizza (ocean catch) over. i told him i've already started eating on the 'wrong' pizza, but still he said it was alrite and they will send the correct one over.

fine. but when it came, it wasnt one pizza. it was THREE! omg~ i dont know y, but when it came, it was one hawaiian and two ocean catch. stunned.. ~

so effectively, we received 5 pizzas in all.

wahhh ~~~~~

but im still a little worried on the charging to my card. better double check the net a few days later.

will be going on cruise virgo in may with pa, ma and hubb.

finally something tt im sponsoring for my two folks.
