Is it due to Sunday? Or has the crowd really shifted to the heartlands? Or is it becuz no tourist? Orchard Road like not as crowded as it used to be le leh...

Ummm... 

Now this really has got nothing to do with me..

But I'm indeed happy for Mr Heng Swee Keat's decision to take a back seat.

Considering his health, he really shouldnt take on too much stress.

Honestly, I have no idea why there are just people who refused to let go.

People like Trump, like Biden...

At their age, why not just relax, sit back, and enjoy the 晚年？？？

Not like they need to earn for a living. so why still want to embroil in all these and take on so much??

I really don't understand.

Or perhaps, I don't understand now, but I probably will understand when it is my own turn to reach golden age.

Hubb was saying he wants to retire by 55yo. Well, if u ask me, if I got the money, I don't mind 'retiring' now! 

But conversely, i have colleagues who have already reached or near retirement age, yet, they still choose to work... 

又不是没有钱，为什么还要每天忙忙碌碌? 

So, money aside, I believe they must have their reasons to still want to work despite their age.

So really, I can only ans this when I reach the age.

And I guess, if I were to retire early, its either I strike it big liao, or I simply don't want to have a younger boss ordering me around!

Exactly 1yr since our CB!

Yeah, that 人心惶惶period..

I still remember working at tpy office and even the lights at hdb hub also half off already! The lobby was so lightly dimmed, almost like a dead town. I was still lamenting why I still need to go back to office... 

Then all shops closed, left only the FnB and fruit stalls.

And all chairs and tables at the Fnb were kept. And those that cannot be kept, were either covered or condoned off.

Wow!

Honestly an eye opener back then!

Yup, one yr down, I guess things are much better and (hopefully) the worst is over.

We r trying to incorp tennis as our weekly activity! 

Really siao one... Friday was swimming under the big hot sun, and Saturday playing tennis under the big hot sun. 

So hot so that we asked the boys to hide in the shade while we 2 played. Haha. 

And... 我真的越来越白了。。。。ya.. The part of the hand that is covered by the watch, that is.

Yes, load at work seems to be coming back... And with so many pple taking turns to take leave for the march hol... It really has been a busy month.

Think cuz missing out too long on massage session.

And to think that he was quite apprehensive initially. Think he tot is that kind of USS rides. Lol... The USS experience did scare him quite a bit I think. 

And not bad, once we board the train, everybody 抢着让位！

OK la, not everybody la.. But at least 3 of them.. 1 tried to offer us... Then the other 2 simply stood up and stand.

Previously already preempted a few times that we will be back to office, but it never happened.

The last pre empt was to tell us be prepared we should be back in office by May.

And now, with the easing, looks like it will happen liao!

Wfh is no longer the default mode!

Really sianx. 

Don't know how to adjust back liao. How to wake up sooo early and mad rush everyday again??! 

And now, I seldom follow hubb to bring the boys to school le. In the past, I will go every morning, send the boys to school, eat bf, and hubb will drive me back before he heads to office for work. 

Then, there was 1x we had an heated argument and then I refused to talk to him. So that few days, he brought the boys himself while I stayed at home. 

Subsequently, I realised, actually no purpose for me to travel with hubb, just to bring the boys to sch and eat bf right. Waste petrol and waste hubb's time cuz after that he still has to send me back. And we can also sleep in later, cuz less travelling time. 

So now, I only go with him on days when he work from home, since he also need to drive back home. 

And on days that I don't follow him, it's quite haven really! 

They will leave the house by about 750, which means I have 1hr of free time all to myself! 

Damn shiok! 

Like now lor, hiding under the blanket, enjoying the fan blow and writing this post! 

Otherwise, I will be checking out the Internet or watch YouTube.... 

After that slowly wash up, change, eat my fave coffee and soda pia bf... Before starting work.

Enjoyment!

Even the chilli sauce also pre packed separately....

And the additional tau gua also must pack separately in a nice little container. 

 Wow.

No wonder the price also premium.

But honestly, I still prefer the char siew peng to have everything gor together - rice, meat, sauce, chilli sauce, all in one packet! 

这才对味吗！

Well, according to hubb, the Japanese cannot tahan our chap chai peng, where everything is mixed together in one box.... Good for pigs to eat only.. 

To them, each food item must be packed nicely and separately in their own little space. Yes.. Jap bentos.. Always so nice right....

And surprisingly, happened to hear an interview from a local so-call celeb whom also said that he never eat chap chai peng cuz he cannot tahan everything mixed together.

Ha.

Maybe that's why, our hawker food also heading for a revamp.

Oh and that also reminded me... During one friends gathering, the friend's daughter's plate was those nice nice compartmentalised one, so, can separate the rice, meat, veg. 

While for us , our usual style for the boys is to take one big bowl and just mix everything in.. 

Opps.. 

Lucky mine are boys.. No need so 尤xiu..

u know, mum and mil have been complaining that they are unable to sleep at night... and when they finally do, they are somehow awaken somewhere in the middle of the night and cannot go back to sleep liao.....

or maybe, half the problem, cuz i can fall asleep, but.... I WILL SOMEHOW ALSO WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!

most of the time, after a while, i can go back to sleep. but some days, need a longer while, before can sleep again. 

most of the days, i dont dare to look at the time, cuz will give me pressure... but sometimes, really cannot go back to sleep, so might as well use phone rather than waste time right... though i know it is super wrong and should not 'activate' the brain further.

 This is even cheaper than a bowl of noodle at the foodcourt xia!

And some shops down, they are cutting at..... $2 for members!!!

Though I don't knoe what they meant by 'members'... 

Wow.. The way they are cutting their own throats... Simply going to die together only...

Cut 1 head only $3.80... Must cut how many to cover the overheads xia.

Not to mention still want to make profits..

Honestly at work, one of the 最怕的就是market spoilers.

U know, those people who just want to do that little bit (or big bit) more just to shine above the rest (or for whatever reasons).

So mgmt will sure compare. If this market spoiler can do that much, why can't u? Then u kenna stress right? So u also do that bit more. 

Then, the market spoiler sure will react one mah. So, he/she will again try to do abit more. Then mgmt will come again. 

So u see this vicious cycle? 

没完没了de。ownself cut ownself throat only. 

Unfortunately, this kind of thing cannot be avoided de. unless u and yr team so gam, that everyone plays by the ear and do agar agar the same. No market spoiler. 

Or u so zenn that regardless how the market spoiler cheong or how the mgmt kb u, u just heck and still do at yr own pace. But likely u will suffer on ur rewards lor.
