Staycay to celebrate Rayous's bday! 

Not bad, this year, both boys' bdays fell on long wkend holiday!! So can staycay on both bdays. Yay! 

Our room, with panoramic view. Nice! 

And got lounge pass with complimentary snacks and drinks all day! Can save some money on meals. Lol

And the lounge also got a small office area. Very happy, managed to print my credit card stmt which I somehow have not received till date. Haha.

And the lounge also got this family room for the kids... Got books and some toys in there..

Back from lunch and saw from the TV at the office lobby, the news that the Japan's former PM was assassinated.

Quite shocking really.

I mean, I know of assassination of politicians, but those were like eon yrs ago.....

Now, in the context of 2022.... Assassination?? 

So real, suddenly. 

Then by the time knock off from work, news of him passing away is already cfmed. 

So sad. 

Like one mmt ago, still 好好的。moments later, 就gone le. 

Life is really so fragile. 

Sigh.

 You know how sometimes we r just so fixated on the problem, that we totally lost sight of the possible solutions???

Remember how I was so proud of myself of coming up with the lunch boxes idea?

Very convenient, really. One person one box, open and can eat liao.

But what I didn't realise (but eventually did) was that washing the plastic and glass ware, can be quite headache also!

And not to mention the lids, forks and spoons etc.

It is very difficult to wash off the oil, and more often than not, need to wash 2 to 3x per piece.

So it was very time consuming and frustrating to keep having to wash these things......

So I contemplated getting a dishwasher. But the idea was brushed off, cuz the one I had in mind, was quite small and I don't think it will be very useful.

Until recently, a friend who started using dishwasher told me how good fantastic it is to have one. 

So, this time round, I'm all set to purchase one. And not the small one, but really the full size kind.

And we even had someone come to our house to see how much it will cost, to build a base curb and piping for the washer.

All in, together with the washer, it will be about $1.3K ($700 for the machine, $300 for the curb, $300 for the piping etc). 

$1.3K to save me time and frustration, why not?

But then again, what was the problem in the first place? Difficult to wash the oily containers right?

So, wouldn't it be a more straightforward and simpler solution to just change the containers??

I read online that plastics are difficult to wash, cuz they attract oil.

So, why not change to metal containers?

Or better still, disposable containers or styrofoam food boxes. 很不环保, yes, thats my only concern. But, imagine if we did not have mil to cook for us, we would have tabao from outside, in the end, we will still be using the disposables isint it??

Oh, and cost of the disposables was also a concern, cuz not cheap to keep eat and throw, eat and throw..

But tmd.. What is this eat and throw cost vs a $1.3K upfront that we are talking abt???

$1.3k I think I can buy disposables good for 3yrs liao.

So, u see what I mean? 

I also don't know why I was so fixated on the dishwasher, when there are actually other simpler/cheaper solutions. 

And, I just found a hack online on how to wash oily containers easily.

Tried ytd, and it works!! 

Shall try again today and see if it works. 

If yes, then I don't even need to change containers liao!! 

Lol!!!! 

Ya.. So... Sometimes, really need to just take a step back and think again. 

What exactly is the base problem? 

Don't 死脑筋, die die only one solution. 

Lesson learnt.

 Darn.

Why suddenly the cough like getting worse again????

Did I eat some food that trigger the cough..?

Or its just back to office??

Grrrrrrr

Like very long never go back liao....

Haha.

And.. Anyone knows when can start exercise again after getting covid?

Still feels tired and sian sian leh...

And still got cough every now and then and also phlegm.....

Listen to the body la hor....

If don't feel like it, 就不要做!!!

Though very guilty not exercising.

Day 4 - 16JunE

Time for some happier post! 

Back to last day of our cruise! 

Back to the port liao! 

Last meal on board! 

This is the main dining room, where they serve 3 course meal, and u choose from the menu. Different menu everyday. Windjammer will be the buffet style, ownself take ownself. Silver dining is also buffet style, but lesser variety, and the food is supposed to be more exquisite. Silver dining is accessible only for certain room types. 

For me, I like the main dining room the most. 

And then back to our room for some last photo takings 

And some jumping shots! Lol

Yup, so that summed up out 4d3n cruise on Royal carribean, spectrum of the seas. Overall is quite fun la, happy to have tried out a number of new activities. 

And then hubb also paid extra for 'the key', which is the priority queue system that they have onboard. Basically for every activity, there will be a time slot dedicated for the key members, so we can avoid the long q.

Then hubb also paid for the photography thingie. So, we get to take back all the photographs that we took onboard, which otherwise, would cost quite a bomb per piece.

Will select a few nice ones and post soon yea. 

Sudden craving for ondeh ondeh cake!! Ordered a small one from 12 cupcakes... To celebrate all of us feeling a tee wee bit better! Haha

And cooked curry today! But abit of a failed attempt cuz the paste was too little.... In the end abit watery, though taste still OK. Ha. 

Yeah. 

 1st day of a new month!!!!

顺顺利利OK!

And officially into 2nd half of the year liao!!!!

Sitting at the clinic..... Waiting to see doc again.... 

Yea, 7days liao!!!! 

But, still coughing and block nose... And whole person still sian sian sian like that.... 

So, better mai tu and come back for more meds to quickly really get well. 

Cook soup today again!! 

Everybody's appetite 都不太好。。。。。been dumping quite abit of leftover food these days.... 很不好。。

So today, just one pot of soup to serve us all!!

Covid cases at all time high again...

And..... Death of a 1.5yo..

Real bad news and a wake up call to everybody!!

Parents of really young children must be shivering now.

Getting covid is NO FUN at all. 

Actually, I'm very worried.. 

If getting covid is really just like getting a flu, why is China so scared???? 

They should have seen how other countries had opened up and live with covid. 

So, why do they simply refused to do so? 

Unless...... They know something about covid that...... we don't........? 

And, read and heard of the the many 后遗 症s left by covid. 

Sigh. 

真的几担心。

But.... 也担心不来了。

即来之，则安之。

And yes. 

Hubb is the latest victim in our family as of now. 

When can we get out of this?????

Wheeeee! Someone is finally back to school after a mth of school holiday! 

Finally can have some good rest for myself, with both of them in school. 

Finally! 

Received a number of feedbacks that tio covid actually quite shiok, just hide in the room, eat, sleep, TV, medicine, and the whole cycle repeats itself for the next 7days.

Shiok la, for those singles and still living with parents. Still got 饭送到门口。really 吃饱什么都不用做！

But for parents like me.... Its quite sucky to be sick and yet still have to care for the household... 

Today gotta wake up early liao lo, cuz rayous gotta go school ma. So after that, it's ME time!! 

Went back to sleep till about 3pm.... Then woke up to watch some TV! 

Shiok! 

But now, waiting for them to come home, and need to start getting bz again... Boohoo..

Lucky still got 2 more days of mc. 

Nose still quite block and cough trigger is still there. 

Whole person still lethargic and sian sian... 

Still got some more meds... Think need to completely off those meds, before I can feel better? Like if u are still eating the meds, 难免还是会累累的，under the meds influence? 

And left kidney like got pain sensation leh... 

Haix. Whats going on huh...

To celeb Rayous's day 7 and end of sch holiday!!!!! 

Pizza for brunch!!!! 

Yay, he never go school today, cuz can only self discharge on 12noon of the 7th day. So, tmr will send him back liao. 

In other words, in the eyes of law, he has recovered liao!!!! Though I really don't know if he has fully recovered or not.... See him at times still sian sian like that.. LS still abit... Appetite also so so... 

Anyways, 不管了。tmr he must return to school!! 

For me, today is day 4. From what I have gathered so far, day 4 seems like the day when the symptoms would subside significantly. 

Past 3days still having fever. So I was thinking if today still fever, I shall visit the doc again liao, cuz it was stated that if the fever is >= 3days, then to see doc again. 

But this morning.... Fever is gone miraculously! Sore throat also better than before. But still coughing and runny nose....

Ytd night still can whack all the junk food!! Hahaha, hopeless!!! 

I think when one is unwell, really will want to eat junk food leh. Cuz the mouth got this very 淡taste (all thanks to the lozenges), and u just feel like eating something stronger... 

Bbt la, instant noodle la, pizza la, deep fried food la... Omgggg! 

And today, finally felt better to do some cooking liao. Been ordering outside food these days... Very guilty to let the boys eat outside food..

Tada! Fried Maggi noodle! 

OK, Maggi in itself is quite junk. But at least I preboiled it, and surely less oil, less salt than outside food ba.. 

Hhahaa. 

世上真的只有妈妈好。

Reminded me of my mum who always insisted to cook for us.. Sometimes even got chided by me in the past, like why go thru all the trouble to prepare, cook, wash etc.... 弄到自己一个忙，when we can simply tabao, 干净利落。

Now then I know why.. 

Ha. 

Anyways, now is hubb's turn to have fever. He went to the doc, but apparently negative. 

Think he has already kenna, but yet to be detected by the kit. 

Sigh. 

As much as we tried to keep separated. 

Now I'm only worried for Raythorous. 

我们家的小宝贝。。。。。

Now still can fight with the kor kor.... Wonder if he can come out unscathed..... 

DaY 3 of BeinG C+

Woah, it's bad.

How come the symptoms like getting worse huh

Day 1 (Friday) only fever and sore throat. Still can ownself walk all the way to ytp see doc and come back. 

Day 2 (sat) still can tahan tahan abit, still can gei kiang mop floor, iron clothes, stay awake abit. But by night time, fever 39deg and throat sore like mad shit!!

And generally no cough. But when the itch comes, it's that kind of cough till u vomit kind. And nose also blocked and abit runny.

Omg. 

Perhaps I didn't rest enough. And the cough trigger thing tends to come at night when ur asleep. So, sleep halfway can cough like mad... Wth.. 

Today (day 3) don't care liao. I'm just going to stay in bed whole day and nua!! 

And still got fever lo. And the fever medicine all finished liao. I guess I should be fine after today, (ie day 4) since the fever med that the doc gave already makan finish?

Mmmmm

And... 是有感觉到hungry de lor.... But don't know what to eat.

Ha. 

And rayous, some times see him, he also like sian sian like that.. Ytd did ART on him, still positive. Ha. Poor boy.

Tmr supposed to be back to school liao, and just nice tmr is day 7 for him. But according to protocol 2, he can only exit isolation at 12noon on the 7th day. So, likely tmr he also cannot go school liao, unless his ART is negative, which I highly doubt so. 

OK, nvm.

No wonder need 7days mc...

真的杀到来了！

Ytd still can 煲汤，today tested positive liao!

Tested on Wed and thurs, all negative.

Ytd night actually can feel lai liao, cuz aching and feverish already. This morning tested, and yes. Kenna liao.

Actually 不kenna 才奇怪, considering how close I was to rayous.

Been trying to keep raythorous and hubb safe.

But this hubb was saying to just let it spread, since it is just a matter of time before everyone gets it....... Might as well we sick and recover together...

一派胡言！

Anyways, we have been sleeping in diff rooms since rayous cfmed. And try to minimise contact liao. See how it goes ba.

And this rayous, looks like he has recovered liao!

Day T was super bad. Lied in bed whole day and super sticky.

T+1 was better, but started to LS... A few times...

Then T+2 vomited a little...

And now T+3, he looks fine liao!

Actually if his ART is negative, he can BAU on T+3 liao. But since I also cannot go out, no point doing an ART on him lor. Save a kit. Lol

See! Happy boy liao! Even requested for mac bf!

 And me with my comfort food!!!

Hahaha.

Soothing!

My symptoms so far are fever, ache, sore throat. Not really coughing nor runny yet.. 

Shall see how it goes.

Long long time never 煲liao. Used to be the helper doing it.... Since she left, MIL has been doing cooking for us 3days a wk, so, she will also cook soup. 

But this wk we r not going to her house to collect food liao, since rayous kenna, better to minimise contact.. 

So, ownself cook ownself lo.... 

很不错哦。。。。

Used to use the slow cooker, but slow cooker is now too small for 4 of us. So gotta use pot and monitor the water level. 3hrs of simmering wor. 

Tada! 

Rich and creamy!! 真的很不错哦!!! 

Lol

 Omg.... 杀到来了。。。。。。。

See lah... Jalan jalan everywhere la.... 

Sigh. 

Poor boy, high fever till almost lying on bed the whole day.... 

What a way to end his June holiday.

Supposed to return to the student care tmr. 

又不用了。。。。

Wasted our $25 for requesting to put him there for 1wk.

Grr.

Back to work tmr, supposed to wio, but have requested to wfh. 

Heng still got this option, else have to utilise leaves again. 

Ha. 

Wish me luck. This boy has been very sticky today.

Hope he feels better tmr and can be less sticky. Else how to work huh.

Not a very big place, but good enough to keep them occupied for 2hrs.

So fast, last week of hols liao.

Initial plan was to send him back to the student care for this week. But like abit cruel to end his holiday prematurely. 

So, took 2 more days leave to accompany him. 

Then wed to Fri he can slowly accustom back to school life.... 

And Monday, back to school officially liao!
