24th BirThDaY

had a good little trip to JB for my bday wkend. actually had wanted it to be more relaxing than wad it really turned out to be.... as the fact now is, im still tired!!! ahhh~~

the hotel - Zon Regency is good. the room is big and spacious. think it's probably one of the grandest hotel i've stayed in b4.

this Zon Regency hotel is somewad like marina mandarin, whereby it's link to a shopping mall. but the shopping mall and the whole exterior are not as grand as wad i had anticipated from seeing the pics at the website.. a little disappointed on tt point.

i had planned to sleep whole day on sat. but by the time we reached the hotel, it was already abt 4pm. think only slept for 3hrs b4 we had to go for the dinner buffet..

and so i slept......

while poor hubb had to study..... lol!!!!! see the diff b/w working and studying?? now, tell me which one is better??? hahaha

b4 the dinner, searched the whole shopping mall for cake shops but apparently there's none! tot there'll be no bday cake for me.. but luckily managed to find one in the hotel :)

after cake-cutting session was the buffet dinner. also had expected it to be something grand.. but then did not really turn out to be so. mostly malay food...

we were also given 2 complimentary drinks at the lounge... so after dinner and some shopping, we went...

went back to room at abt 11pm+. ate some cake and in order to let the cake digest b4 we sleep, we watched tv till 2am+!!!! tt probably is one of the reasons y im still tired........

breakfast........... the re-fill of food was slow and i wonder y some food had no refill at all! quite limited food choices. :(

went explore around our hotel after check-out and tried out this korean bbq. i always love korean bbq!! yummy! total cost abt rm90...

after lunch, we went tebrau city. quite a distance from our hotel. cab fare abt rm20. mmm... a big mall and the layout's exactly like vivocity. i dont really quite like it there though, cuz the goods there are juz as expensive as sg's and there were soooo many pple. still prefer city sq much more! and.. we were juz too tired to shop le. i almost literally fell asleep while waiting for hubb to buy drinks at the foodcourt. and our legs hurt... did we walk much?? dont think so.. but still it hurts.. regretted not bringing my crocs there - the all time fav shoes for travelling!

after tebrau city, we went back to Zon and tried out leg and shoulder massage. rm50 for 1 hour per pax. felt better after that.. but now, my body is aching again.. i wonder if it's due to the massage or too much basketball-throwing at the arcades...

lastly, b4 we rtn to sg, had dinner at city sq for abt rm60...

super wrong choice that we took 170 tt will alight at queen street cuz 1) the journey was super long and 2) after we alighted, it was soooooo difficult to catch a cab and 3) tt place is full of ah-neis!. it's also not a good choice to take 160, cuz 160 will take a hell long time to come. a few 170s will pass by b4 one 160 arrives. so in future, we will juz take 170 and alight at kranji per normal. dont try anymore stuns liao~ *

will be going over to JB tmr and be staying one nite there. i plan to sleep WHOLE DAY in the hotel (and maybe DIY dye my hair?). then will shop whole day on sunday and be back sunday nite. monday can juz nua at home :) b4 work starts again :(

gonna explore other parts of JB besides city sq. and gotta check out if the prices of winter clothings and electronic goods are cheaper over there.

simply, i cannot bear staying in sg for the long wkend becux there is NO PLACE to shop and NOTHING to do in sg. i think i will rot at home and waste the long wkend away if i were to stay in sg.

Sick

was sick for the past week. tt explains y i did not blog despite so many new happenings. vomitted 2x + diarrhoea last sunday nite. fever came next and appetite did not return until friday and am juz sooo glad im well now. i tell u, nothing beats being healthy. when ur unwell, nothing matters anymore. this year like not soo good leh.. fell sick a few times... must be one of the aging signs... sighhh...

Driving Test

yes pple! i've finally passed my driving test!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeahhhh!!!! am soooo happy! finally one load off and one money and time consuming activity stroke off my list! the test was on that monday when i was running a fever. still many buang-ness during the pre-test lesson, but amazingly, i managed to pass with 8pts!! i think it's due to the fever tt i managed to pass. cuz i was juz tooo sian and weak to feel anxious/guncheong. probably my heart was also too weak to beat fast tt day, tt's y i was calm and finally did it!!! i literally fell asleep while waiting for my name to be called for the test. i was also lucky lah, cuz tt day tt slot only 6 candidates and the road outside was soo empty tt day. anyway, i have passed and tt's all it matters. and.... dont ask me how many times i tried b4 i passed k. hheee.

Holiday

went NATAS fair on sat and have booked the china tour. bejing + tianjin + chengdu from 19dec to 26dec. will be going with pa, ma and hubb. it's gonna be a cold cold cold and probably snowy xmas this year!!!! actually kidda worried abt the weather. i cannot imagine how cold it'll be and i wonder if the folks can take it. also thinking if i was too hasty in booking this trip. i mean, i have always wanted to bring them to china and i really want to go during winter. but i havent really consider how cold it'll be and how inconvenient it'll be to go in winter. i suppose spring will be a better option. seriously, i kind of regretted booking this tour.. but now tt i've done so, the only thing to do now is to ensure tt we are adequately equipped to fight the bitter winter. have went to check out on the winter wear yesterday.. not cheap at all.. but cant do without either. but also excited lar.. cuz there will never be a chance to bao1 like a ba-zhang (rice dumpling) in singapore. im looking forward!!! and... probably it's time to invest in a camcorder?

Work

things at work are bad, worse and worst! i cannot tell u how bad and dramatic things r now.. and i dont think there's any point in complaining here. but it's seriously getting more and more absurd, unreasonable and unbearable. feel very sad tt things are coming out this way.. and there's nothing anyone of us could do or dare to do to save our own asses. it's not the worst worst yet... but i can feel tt the worst worst is coming.... soon. i juz hope i will be safe.. at least from now till i receive my bonus nxt year.

Driving

went rent a car right after i got my license. and ytd took bro-in-law's car to drive. quite scary actually and lucky hubb was there to guide me. think i still dont dare to drive alone yet. went up the expressway and the left lane cars were travelling faster than me.. think i only travelled at 70kph or 80kph.. but cant blame me lar.. gotta be v careful in everything.. i dont wanna anything to happen tt will cost me my hard-earned license!!! and parking was cuii... really gotta practice more.
