PerTh TriP DeBrieF

yea, i really did complete blogging the perth trip! im proud of myself!

debrief time....

actually all the while, i never tot much of going to australia. donnoe y, but i was never fancy abt aus. and it really was becuz of the cheap sia air fare that we decided to go perth.

i know nothing abt perth. in fact, i know nothing abt aus. i only know there's an opera house in sydney, amusement parks in gold coast, many koalas and kangeroos... and tt's abt all.

so, i really wasnt too excited abt the perth trip. usu, i will know where to go, how to go, wad to do, and the itin ready. but this time, it was a last min thingie.. no idea where to go.. no idea how to go... itin was vvvv roughly done....

but it turned out, to be my fav trip!

the weather was great, the pple are friendly, the food are okay, we had the luxury of a car, we go where we like, everything own time own target. all are good, except for the fact that things are expensive and at some places, there are toooo many flies.

and, i always believe public toilets are reflective of the cultivation of the citizens in the country. in perth, 1) do not worry about not being to find a toilet 2) do not worry about dirty and disgusting toilets 3) do not worry about not having toilet papers.

yes. simple as that. and this is seriously not something to be taken granted for.

im really looking forward to other places of aus - goldcoast, sydney, brisbane.... etc.

and like wad bee said, it's really a good good place for retirement. seriously, given such a huge land with such small population, i dont think it's difficult to migrate over. but u have to get used to the more expensive things over there.

it's a great place to go. must really work towards migrating there and live in a big big house juz like wad tom dick and harry does in perth!!! :)

Perth Day 8

our last day in perth!!!!

we decided to wake up real early to have a good sun tan at the beach. arrived at the beach at abt 7am... then it was soooo sooooo sooooo cold... that we decided to go back to the car and wait for the sun to get warmer b4 coming out again. so much for waking up so early huh.

i will always remb this. it was a monday. i was lying on the beach and thinking of how my colleagues are slogging away @ work right at this mmt that im at the beach enjoying the sun, the breeze, the air, the sound.. everything.

this is wad i call l.i.f.e - u relac and njoy while other pple are slogging and cursing. but how often do we get such chances?

~ our lunch for the day ~

~ checking out ~

~ return our rented car ~

~ last stroll at the beach b4 heading to airport ~

there are not many hi-rise buildings in perth. and most of their houses are really 'houses', unlike us, 'flats'. all their houses are sooo big !!! no wonder landed properties are known as 'ang moh chu'. lol.

~ i strongly believe this will cost a few ten millions in sg.. but in perth.. houses like this are common ~

noted many of the houses are in fact vacant and for sale. read that perth population is abt 2 million while the land area is abt 5000 km sq. sg's population is abt 5 million with 700 km sq. so effectively, their population is 40% of ours, while their land is 7x bigger than ours!

so, it's little wonder y big houses are sooo common in perth and many are built to be left vacant. perhaps tt also explains y things are soo expensive in perth. for such small population to support such a big piece of land, things will naturally have to be more expensive, yea?

and then off we go to the airport. another sgd70 gone.

~ perth international airport ~

~ our last meal in perth ~

~ on board ~

~ his choice. as if not sick of western food... ~

~ ice cream dessert ~

~ and finally home sweet home ~

PerTh Day SeVen

our complimentary breakfast everyday... cereal + toast. simple, but delicious. and now i know, continental breakfast = cereal + bread

we have nothing in mind for day seven. had wanted to drive to pinnacles but the drive to and back will take abt 5, 6 hrs.. so we decided to give it a miss. so day 7, we wandered around perth.

lunch was a burger meal at hungry jacks. exactly like burger king.

we ordered a triple burger and were expecting a gigantic huge burger... but who knows, it turned out to be a tiny burger.. maybe as good as a hamburger. i wondered why, since we tot the portion shld be much larger in an angmoh country.

tried  out another bb tea. this one really cannot make it.

when crystal learnt abt me going to perth, she told me to give her university a visit and help her take photos. sounds crazy at that time, but since we had a car and no place in mind to visit, we decided to really take a visit at her uni. a few other of my frens also taking degree from this aus uni.

and after that, we decided to go fremantle again. hehehe.. besides the fish n chips, it was also recommended to take a cuppa coffee at the coffee stretch. and so we did.

~ lesiurely. actually, not so leisurely lah, cuz we wanna hurry go shop b4 the shops closed ~

~ the train station ~

~ looks like our mrt yea? ~

~ ticketing machine ~

~ fish and chips and seafood platter for dinner :) ~

~ and this is what happened after someone left and the food are not cleared away immediately. so remb, never leave ur food unattended! the birds are really swift! ~
