TaiWan Day 3 - 16 April 2018

day 3 of our tw trip! 

still unexpectedly cold......... 

our hotel, amba, in xmd... yeah, that's the hotel that not only provided the baby cot, but also the bathing accessories. nice! the breakfast is not bad too! 

first station was to the longshan temple. actually supposed to visit the temple on day 2, but becuz day 3 was 初一, so we visited the temple on day 3 instead. 

then to jiufen!

still a charming street with many things to see and many things to buy! and of cuz, lots of pple too! 

actually during this trip, hubb and i both felt that the taiwanese are not as friendly and helpful as they used to be liao. really. dont know why, but it's really the case lor. all the while, in my opinion, taiwanese are the friendliest pple i encountered thus far, even better than the japanese. but this time round, no more such friendliness. everybody like face black black, and not as helpful also.. quite sad, really. 

we bought soo many barangs here! really lucky got driver.. else i really wont know how to handle... 

next to 黄金瀑布 and 阴阳海. nothing much la. just went down and took some pics, that's all..

and then to shifen! i've been to tw for like 3 or 4x already? but i've never been to shifen before. i guess it was becuz shifen is super far and inconvenient, that's y i always gave it a missed.  no point travel all the way there, just to 放天灯. but this time round, i made it a point to go to shifen, cuz never been there before ma. cant be visiting all the same old places with no new place to see this time round, right..

and yes, it's really quite a nice place to be at.. 

crowded also, and a very colorful place, cuz everywhere is the 天灯s..

dinner was at the keelung night market. but becuz we were all already tired, we just went to the nearest decent stall and ate. then it kind of started drizzling, so din get to really explore this night market which i also had never been before. but i guess, the stuff at the night markets are 大同小异 ba...

and know what? the milk bottle cleanser that we brought was running out, and we had to go source for it. we only brought a small bottle, din expect it to run out so fast! lucky managed to find it at one of the shop there! see? in foreign land still need to buy milk bottle cleanser, of all things! really OMG!! 

but the good thing was, their pigeon cleanser is made in japan one wor! unlike our ones here, made in thailand... LOL

and this rayous was having great fun with the machines just outside the shop..

yeah, all thanks to me still pumping.. so, still many accessories to be washed... 

i think i really need to pat myself on the shoulder. on hindsight, i also dont know how i managed it all. hahahahahaha.

my dear helper nearly poured away my bird nest just now. 

told her to 'pour for me', and she nearly poured it away! 

lucky i was just standing nearby to be able to stop her in time! 

OMG!! 

seriously!! 

cannot imagine what would happen if i had just walked away, expecting her to bring me the bird nest, only to realise that she had poured it away!!! 

命案可能会发生.

talk to them, really can die!!!! 

honestly, i still dont like them. tot changed a new one, would be better. but.... 1month down.... again, negative feeling towards her liao. haiiii.

in the past, when no maid, always tot having a maid is a darn shiok thing. 

but alas, 理想和现实真的有差. 

if i have a choice, i would rather not have a helper at all. 

a stranger in the house. 看又看不爽。骂又不是，不骂又不是.

i used to wonder y my colleague doesnt bring his helper out, when he goes out w his wife and children. now, i can fully understand why. now that didi is older and lucky we had the house camera-ed, we could safely (hopefully) leave her alone at home, while we go out. i seriously do not like her to tag along w us. for gods sake, 能离我们多远，就离我们多远. 

i guess i really should find a filippino next time. at least they are smarter (rumoured to be, at least) and communication is not an issue (hopefully!!). 

or maybe, it's really just me, who just cannot accept them nicely.

it's my didi's 1st bday!!

like not so long ago when we celebrated his full month, and now, 1st bday liao. very fast!!!

celebration was at jumbo seafood @ riverside point

my dearest didi =)

finally reaching another milestone =)

actually till now, still feel very 亏欠 towards didi. now rayous comes home with us every day, but didi still hasnt.. we only bring him back on fri and over the wkend. and sometimes, it's so rush (cux we went bk late), that i can only see him for a while at MIL's place, before having to go home. haiiz. lucky i brought him along to the taiwan trip, else will surely feel worse.. 

anyway, i promise promise to bring him back more often once he can sleep thru the night ok. still cannot promise that i will bring him home every night, cuz it's really mad rush in the morning. but, we shall c how. surely will improve de k!! 

and didi... 1yo liao... pls work towards sleeping soundly thru the night ok! actually for that few nights in taiwan, he was ok leh (surprisingly!). dont know why come back liao, will still wake up in the middle of the night. uhhhh.

ok, back to the bday celeb. the food at jumbo is quite nice, but the presentation is quite bad. wasnt expecting this, but overall still ok la, i guess. 

ok, so, happy birthday raythorous. mama wishes u good health, happiness and smarty smarty ok!

Ahhh, back to work tmr.. really end of holiday liaooooo....

Took today to rejuvenate abit. Did hair treatment, then settle the children's banking stuff, then went for a massage. Shiook.

Haiz, should have taken tmr leave as well..

Starting to miss the days in Taiwan... haaa..

Ha. 

Still can 忙里偷闲, 泡温泉!

OK,  coming back in a couple of hours. 

Can't believe the long planned trip is coming to an end!! 

Time flies! 

So far really not so bad.

Glad to have the chance to finally bring the folks to Taiwan,  though it's also very tiring for them. Ha.

And also glad to have brought ah di along. Though it will really be easier for everybody if I hadn't.  Ha.

Weather in Taipei now is really cold....!

Wasn't expecting this, tot it'll be around 25deg, who knows, today is only 18deg!!!

Anyway, started the day w breakfast at hotel

And then our 1st stop, Taipei 101

Next was to this 永康街。apparently a shopping street, but really nothing much lor.

Then to 国父纪念馆。and know what? It was sooo  chilly cold that we alighted, took a few pics, and decided we want to go back to the car already. Really really v cold and we weren't geared enough.

The poor boys.. made them wear a few layers, and still not sure if sufficient or not..

The unexpected cold weather really did spoil some of the mood. Cuz it's so cold, we don't really wanna stay outdoor. 

And now I'm super worried about going to cingjin which will even be colder. Honestly, Rayous only has 1 sweater and raythorous has 2 jackets. Lucky I brought along long pants for them. So now, can only layer them up lor. And hopefully the weather can be warmer for the rest of the days.

And poor Rayous Kenna scolded a few times by us today. I really wonder (and I definitely hope not) if it was because of didi's presence, that he became exceptional AA and cranky. and he kept asking for his pillow and tutu which totally pissed me off. So much so that I scolded him (on top of Taipei 101! Omg). So much so that I made him threw the tutu out of the hotel room!! Drama la.

Though we secretly went to take it back, i hope we wont relent and give in to him again. I really hope we can wean him off successfully! So far OK leh, he managed to fall asleep without his tutu. Haha.

OK, suppose to visit raohe night market at night de, but I guess everyone's tired liao (and sian of the cold weather), so we gave it a miss. Hopefully still can sqz it back in in one of the remaining days.

OK,  tmr will b packed also. Going jiufen and shifen.
