day 11 of the trip. just rest and relax...

seriously, cooking is an art. im still trying to figure out how issit possible to have the food cooked, without having the outside being burnt. I have the tendency to under-cook food for fear that the food will be over-cooked or burnt. in the end gotta cook 2nd round. really not easy lorr.

despite the sun, the water was really cold. i had no courage to enter that cold water. hubb did though. try spotting him in the pic. happily wading to join the crowd in welcoming the waves..

one of goldcoast's iconic landmark - Q1. the skypoint observation deck is at the 77th storey.

as mentioned, the day before, we visited the observation deck at night and there was nothing much to see. so, i decided to go up again in the day, and was glad that i did that, cuz there's really much more to see in the day than at night.

lunch time after that! love travelling, cuz u really get the luxury to just sit down, rest and relax, and watch the world goes by..

 milk shake - we almost always order it during our meals out. cuz all the drinks are equally expensive, it only makes more sense to drink milk shakes over ordinary softdrinks. and the milk shakes are really goooood!!

after that was shopping time at harbour town....

 and our last dinner in goldcoast was at..

 yes, it's shake again!!!! obsessed!!

GoLdCoAsT DaY 10 - 26 SepT 2012

day 10 of our goldcoast trip. woohoo!

started off with cooking breakfast again. as mentioned - hashbrowns are my favorite!!

the failed attempt

seriously, it does require some level of skill to fry good hashbrowns. the amt of oil is crucial. too little oil, the hashbrown will be dry. too much oil, the hashbrown will become soggy and will 'break' easily. too cooked, it becomes over-crispy and will lose the potatoe taste. under-cooked, it becomes too soft and limpy. really.... NOT EASY!!

in anycase, i want to invest in an air-cooker!!

off to seaworld!

i quite like seaworld. it's not so much a themepark for thrilling rides. rather, it's more of a place to see marine animals and kiddy shows..

plenty of chance to get close to the dolphins

they really will toss the balls up and engage their viewers to play

failed attempts to win the big fishie softoys through those games.. ended up with 2 small crocs instead...

the dora show! haahaha. got to know more about this dora gal thru miss cute...

and diego (according to miss cute, he is the cousin of dora)!! i was rather excited, cuz always watch these characters through the cartoons that miss cute watches. and now, in real! hahahhaha. so funny lah. i think we were the only 2 adults who took pic with him.. the rest all had little children with them..

after seaworld, we went to the highest point in goldcoast - the skypoint observation deck.

seriously, should visit the skypoint in the day, cuz at night, there's really nothing to see! my ticket allows unlimited access but hubb's ticket was a one-time entry. so the next day in the day, i went up alone, and the view was soo different. so much nicer than in the night. will blog abt that in the next post.

our dinner that night. finally some chinese food. haha.

we also visited the beach market again and finally decided to take picture with the reptile. there were a few to choose from - snake, chamelone or baby crocodile. we chose the snake. 1st time i came into contact with a real snake. i always thought they are wet, sticky and slimy, but i was wrong. it's dry and smooth! totally different from what i thought!

coming soon to the end of the trip. woo, took me a good half year to finish blogging the 12days... ahahahaha
