indeed it is. cuz... it was my most 'unhappy' one.

our presents

dinner was at watami raffles city. then present exchange at out of the pan.

we had our usual 'exchange game'

o well. these gals.. really 把快乐建筑在我的痛苦上. they xian2 qi4 my present! they spoilt my xmas!!! hrmpgh!

nvm. nxt yr, i shall present them with greater element of surprise so all will want to take my present! haha.

and... continuing the hand cream saga.... we decided to 'prank' jo with another handcream present for her bday!!! lol..

actually, could see the gal was quite disappointed to receive yet another handcream. LOL.

but the cream was juz a prank lah. we bought her a watch. look at the face.. totally different liao lorr..

well, not a bad thing. at least it spared me the agony of anticipation and guessing.

a good way to die from a sudden stab.

i guess it's a mistake right from the very very start.

at least i had the opportunity to rectify it along the way.

now, it juz depends on how long the rectification will truly take effect.

apparently, it's taking longer than i hope.

will i be able to see that day?

yes, yes... it's buffet yet again! urgh! december is really a month to get FAT.

this time is at buffet town at raffles city. the location used to be the jap buffet - shokudou, but now it's occupied by this international buffet outlet.

spread is real good. even better than carousel, which means, better than all the hotels buffets i've went to. but again.. the freshness is an issue.

freshness of sashimies - so so only. and the cooked crabs are definitely not fresh.

but the cooked food (ie. crabs aside) is good. love the chicken rice and the fried rice and the fried beef :)

dessert choices are okay.. but no fondue.. and taste not that fantastic either.

with my ex-colleagues :)

nett abt $41/pax. if u are for the cooked food, then it's recommended. the spread is really good. but if u are for sashimies or desserts, then not recommended.

do make reservation if u are visiting cuz when we arrived at 7pm, the place was already full-house and they are only entertaining those with reservations.

that probably explains why it's 'fore-warned' that the reservation will only be held on for 15mins and will be cancelled if u do not arrive within the 15mins allowance.

so.. in summary, if u are looking for buffets, i will recommend conrad oscar's or concorde spices cafe. these 2 are the best so far, in my most humble opinion.

the sashmies are good. fresh. they slice on the spot. u have to let the chef know wat u want and he will slice for you. fresher that way, but gotta q for awhile too.

the noodle bar which is out-door

serves many kinds of noodle, but i only tried out the tom-yum tanghoon.

i love the dessert there! they got freshly bake waffles!!! and many different kinds of cookies and chocolates!!!! but... there wasnt any choco fondue. mm.. minus pt.

this place is recommended. though the spread is not as good as carousel, but the freshness and ambience are much better. the service of the staff is also better. think the cost is abt $60 each. recommended.

ok, supposed to do this '回顾' like before 2012? but been busy and tired lahh.

anyway, 2011 had been an okay year.

like all other recent years that had passed, it was a super fast year.

1. marks the 1st full year in may with my current dept.

2. marks the end of 8th year in dec with me and hubb. bye bye 七年之痒?

3. brought folks to HK the 2nd time. been to HK and TW... and of cuz.. the small trips like Batu Pahat, Malacca, Genting, Batam...

4. stayed in constant contact with my frens.

5. develop stronger relationships with current colleagues.

6. enjoy my job more

of cuz there is a fair share of indignation and disappointment in 2011, but which year do not?

in anycase, it seems like 2012 will be a tough year. what's with the end-of-world prophecies, down-turn economy etc.....

兵来将挡 水来土掩

in 2012, i want to (or rather, hope to) 

1. sleep early everyday and wake up fresh and awake!

2. rest more

3. spend more time with families and friends

4. take more initiatives

5. be more organised and less lazy

7. spend less

8. change jogging regime to 4times x 2rounds/time (vs 2times x 3rounds/time)

9. live, love, enjoy, happy, healthy and wealthy!!!!!!!!!!!
