Batu PaHaT Trip

went on an amazing 2d1n batu pahat tour with pa, ma and hubb last wkn. amazing... u'll soon learn why.

~ check in hotel. apparently it's the best hotel in the whole of batu pahat ~

after that was to a shopping mall. to watch performance. and guess wad? the performance was by our tour members!! now u know y this trip was amazing. apparently, it's a trip organised by my pa's karaoke kakhis and this trip was in fact a ktv-cum-sight seeing trip!!

and.... hubb and i were the youngest in the whole tour. all rest are LKKs............ -_-.. no wonder pa so nicely treated us to this trip. wanna us to be the cheerleaders and take care of ma lahhhh...

 it's amazing how they managed to make it into such a big scale exercise. previously were community centres dinners..... now..... performing in a shopping mall as if they are really singers!!!! stunned!!!

while they sang... me and hubb took some time to shop around the mall. and yes, things in msia are reaaaalllyy cheapper!!!!

after that was to dinner... and yet more singing.....

before checking in to the hotel for the night.....

then sunday morning. started with buffet breakfast :)

~ checking out ~

then... to a temple.. to 'touch fish'. lol ..

actually shouldnt put the touch fish in inverted commas... cuz, it's literally to touch the fish! apparently, it was said that if u managed to touch the fish, u'll strike 4d. touch the head and will tio tau bio. touch the tail and will tio bay sai. and of cuz.. whether u manage to touch the fish or not, will largely depend on if you have the yuan fen with the fishes or not..

think it's easy?? look at how lang bei we were and u'll knoe if it's easy or not! i was glad i din strain my neck. keke.

after that was to sheep farm.....

that's a foal we are holding.. but looks like a little dog eh?

then to honey farm....

also visited a bird nest outlet.... and supposed to visit an organic farm also... but it was raining and the organic farm trip was cancelled after everyone's consensus. and in place, was an earlier arrival to the restaurant so that they can karaoke somemore before dinner.

that was bored.. cuz no shopping areas nearby and we were kidda stuck to listen to them sing. boohoo.



all in all, it was a good trip lah. short getaway. and apparently.. their next trip will be to malacca to perform.

HappY 2011 !!

HAPPY 2011!!!!

ok, time for reflections 1st. 2010 had been a rocky year. i guess the largest achievement was the change of department, though till now, i still cant say if it's for the better or for the worse. i juz remb it was soo soo bad initally that i almost wanted to throw in the letter already. almost, that is.

2010 also got to travel to macau and perth, 2 new places which i've not been before.

mmm.. i guess that's abt all. apparently, the resolutions for 2010 - to save money and shed weight - never did take place. in fact, i'd gained weight and spent even more money than before! haii.

and so.. these 2 resolutions shall remain and be applicable for 2011!

okay, now to where we counted down this yr..

and so, not knowing where we want to go... we decided to give this tiong bahru park party a try! anyway, it's my estate.. should support, yea?

many people.. and to our expectations.. many are families with old folks and children. lol

this yr, i heard many celebrations are being carried out at the heartlands. great idea to be supported, i think. afterall, u cant expect children and old folks to sqz at orchard, marina, sentosa... or clubs, pubs, discos etc, yeah? so.. these heartlands celebs are really a good way to get the folks and children and families involve.

and then, the spectacular fireworks...

and so, we ushered 2011!!! may 2011 be a great, fantastic, awesome, cool, fabulous, fun, joyous, hopeful year for all of us!!!!

Merry Christmas! HoHoHo!!!

it's really the season to get faaat!!!!! so many foooooddddd these days courtesy of the sales side (although i really hateeee them!!).... i've been eating eating and eatinggggg....

team lead's and colleague's bday in dec... so on xmas eve, we also celebrated their bdays..

there wasnt any celebration this yr by the dept.. but juz so one of the colleagues is retiring, she ordered pizzas  for us to eat.... and so, aptly it became a celebration..

me and the team lead who intervierwed and recruited me. she's no longer my immediate team lead, cuz i changed team, remb? but still, deep in my heart, i thank her for giving me the opportunity to get out of collections and try something different. for the better, or maybe for the worse. but im still appreciative of the chance, which i know many others are dying for. and know wad? she's a crescentian tooo!!!!

and then.. it was back to work before we were officially released at 3pm.

met hubb.. and shopped around orchard central...

dinner was at this korean restaurant in central. had their xmas set which was $88++ for 2pax.

~ yummmmyyy korean porridge. very small little bowl too ~

i was half complaining how come everything are in such small portion and sooo expensive, when the two zhong4 tou2 xi4 came..

that explains why the 88 bucks huh?

~ dessert.. ~

the food's not bad.. the service are good also. notice a few of the crew and the chefs are koreans. not a bad place.. but i still prefer korean bbq than normal korean food.

and towards mid-night, we caught the mark lee's comedy at PS. the 12oclock was spent inside the cinema, so no countdown. hiak. notice this yr not that many ah neis in orchard anymore. good thing huh.

and so, merry merrry meerrrrry christmas to all!!
