last day of march... end of 1st quarter of the year...
march should be a happy month, cuz it's the bonus month! but somehow, it appeared that i will have crisis every march.....
one good news and one bad news.
bad news is, my coming-to-2-month-old maid tendered her resignation.
good news is, she told us early. the agency had extended our so-called free replacement till end of the month. so, we only need to pay $200 to get a replacement, no need to pay the whole agency fee again. so, lucky that she tendered early, else, we will have to incur much more cost.
i really dont know what is going on. i guess i really dont know how to handle maid-employer relationship.
super sad, cuz i was determined to make this time work.
this maid, from philippines. we decided to go for philippines, cuz we reckoned that will minimise communication problems and conflicts.
and true, this maid can speak and understand english much better than the previous 2. quick, efficient, can cook.
mil and i had no issue with her. but hubb, did not like her right at the start. he felt that her attitude is not good and she likes to talk back. to me, i felt that she is explaining herself. but to hubb, he felt that she's talking back to us.
she's not very responsive, dont know is genuinely cannot hear or simply ignoring us. and she always have a black face. always looking sad and unhappy. and when we say her, she will have an obvious bu-shuang face.
so, performance wise, she's good. but attitude wise, at least to hubb, she sucks.
we did contemplate replacing her. but eventually, we tot we should give each other more time to get used to each other.
who knows... she resigned first.
also good la. better that she does it now, than later.
sighh.
really very sian. is it my problem? i really dont know how to manage this xia. she said she doesnt like us to raise voice at her.

if this one cannot work again, then i really should stop engaging maids liao..
