Trip... NexT YeaR!

ok, i know this is super kiasu. 

but we just booked a flight to taiwan. 

in...... april next year!!!

ahahahahah. 

well, hubb has got krisflyers points expiring in aug. so if want, gotta book now. 

and, yep, we just did! 

will be travelling with the 2 boys and mum and dad! 

woohoo! 

had always wanted to bring mum to taiwan cuz she always said she wanna go taiwan. 

finally. 

the plan now is to book a driver in taiwan, so our transport will be fully taken care of. no rush, no need to walk like mad shit, no need to sqz in public transport. 

lotsa planning and logistics to do liao.

last yr HK/Macau was 1 kiddo with 2 folks. 

next yr will be 2 kiddos with 2 folks!

ok, looking forward! 

darn hell.. down with a bad cough! 

few weeks back already coughing. seen doc, and recovered. 

now came back again, stronger!

coughed till tears, mucous, saliva all came out. 

and even coughed till vomited. 

my sushi dinner yesterday and my chocolate bun breakfast just now, all gone!!! 

not to mention my digestive juices and gut juices and stomach juices and whatsnot.

that itch in the throat.... is simply killing!!!!!!!!!!!

and i even came down w a fever on wed!! literally slept through the whole of wed. lucky raythorous was cooperative and he guai guai slept w me after b-feeding on the bed. 

wed fever was so bad that my head was all dizzy and i was aching all over. i din even dare to bath raythorous, in case i fell him. i only changed his diaper and then continued to sleep w him. 

38.9d when i consulted doc that night. grrrr. 

and i was told antibiotics to be given next, if i still do not recover. but with antibiotics, i cannot breastfeed!!! 

NO WAY!!

now i only hope i dont spread it to the rest, especially the 2 boys. 

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

and i seriously suspect i caught it from my helper. 

she was the one who started clearing her throat and coughing a bit. 

very very mild only. 

but soon after, i will kenna... BIG TIME. 

the first time it was like that. but i din really notice who started coughing first, so we tot maybe it was i who spread to her, since my condition was much worse off than hers. 

but this time round, im freaking sure she was the one who started clearing throat first. 

then i kenna liao. 

honestly, if there's going to be a 3rd time, i will seriously consider changing her. 

definitely do not need an outsider who is here to spread germs. 

dammit.

now 2 kids only and need maid, need car, need this need that... 

and i dont suppose they use a breast pump back then. so how to survive through the breastfeeding period??

seriously, how did the pple in olden times survive? 

they must have been so much more resilient and strong than us now.

Rayous's 2nD BirThDay

my little boy is officially into the terrible 2 stage! ahahahahahah

left didi at MIL's place and then brought him all the way to this indoor water playground at punggol safra. apparently, it's the one and only indoor water playground in sg wor...

as usual, he was quite apprehensive with the big playground and was quite contented playing with the kiddish water sprays.. hahaa. 

but i must say the big slides are really quite scary la. pitch dark all inside. i guess must at least 6yrs and above then can take it.. 

and weekday really very few pple nia.. so good to go out on weekdays.. dont have to sqz and q like mad shit.. 

wad could be better than a cool ice-cream after working out in the pool? hahah

after that we went to swensens at imm.  they will give this complimentary bday ice-cream on yr bday =) 

and then back to MIL's place to cut his bday cake..

ok, and then.. i had been prepping him for sooooo long..... that we will have a 'throw-away-tutu' ceremony after cake-cutting. but.........that never happened!!!!

ahhhh! im weak! 

but seriously, tutu (aka pacificer la) really does create wonders. it really reeaally reeeaaaalllllyyyyy can calm a kid down. or at least it works for rayous la. 

honestly i hate him sucking on pacifier but i also succumbed to it after seeing the 'wonders' that it can do. 

then i kept telling myself and rayous that we will throw all the tutu away once he reaches 2yo. 

but, ytd.. still did not throw... cuz... really scare of the 'aftermath' of really not having tutu anymore.  

actually now, he will only ask for it when he wants to sleep or when he's in distress. other than that, he never suck de. then once he's asleep, we will remove it. but sometimes, in the middle of the night, he will make noise and ask for the tutu.. so if we really go cold turkey, i really worry that he will not fall back to sleep and continue being cranky and then wake didi up... and then all of us no need to sleep liaooo.. 

hiaz... 

since he only sucks on it during sleeping time and when he's in distress, so not that bad la right? not as if he's sucking on it day and night and all the time....... right?????????

but i really hope to wean him off soon. but without this comfort item, what will happen when he's distress? what can calm him down?? grrrrr

read before that we can actually poke hole on the pacifier or apply some nasty tasting stuff on the pacifier so that the kid will stop 'loving' it. 

will probably try that soon. hopefully with that, he will stop asking for it....

i guess sometimes in life, one really doesnt have to worry too much. 

remb yesterday i was still complaining that rayous doesnt want a haircut and it's really bothering me?

today, it's all solved! 

we decided to take things in our own hands! 

hahahahahah

after, mr little toot head!!!

hahahahaha! 

very happy that he allowed us to cut his hair. not bad looking right??! so much neater, cleaner and cuter than before! im really quite proud of ourselves! LOLLL

rayous finally let me cut his nails proper today! 

such great achievement xia! 

yeah, in the past, i always had to wait till he's fast asleep, before i can cut his nails. 

and by fast asleep, i really do mean fast asleep. 

there were many times whereby the mission of cutting his nails while he was sleeping still failed, becuz apparently, he was still quite 'alert' despite sleeping. i will try to cut and he will keep his fingers into a fist and not allow me to cut.. even when he's sleeping! really OMG ok!  even the slightest action will put him on alert mode. best. 

the worse period was when i was preggie. cuz cannot cut things on the bed ma... so... i can only cut his nails when he fell asleep on me on the sofa, or when he fell asleep in the car. if he fell asleep on bed, i will have to carry him off the bed before i can cut for him. 

then i will get super stress if i failed to cut his nails over the wkend, cuz the next time i can cut for him, will be the next wkend liao. and by then, his nails will be v long and sharp liao. 

and when he scratches himself, i will kenna blamed for not cutting his nails. diaoo. 

so today, unexpectedly, he agreed to let me cut his nails and.... he really did! 

wahahahahah!

unfortunately, he also agreed to go cut his hair. however, when we reached the salon, he refused to get his hair cut again.....

honestly, i had only brought him to cut hair once. that time was when he was around 8 months, i think? 

it was a nightmare, really. 

he cried and cried and cried like hen kenna slaughtered like that. i honestly did not expect that. 

since then, i never bring him liao. it's always MIL who brought him to cut. and every time, he will cry like mad shit. and there was 1x when he cried till he vomitted and MIL also kenna the vomit. OMGGGGG.

now, even MIL also gave up liao. apparently, he will start making a din even before entering the salon! 

so today, i tried talking to him to have his hair cut. he agreed wor. throughout the day, i kept asking him and prepping him, and he was ok. however, when we reached the salon, he refused to cut again! the salon got this seat in the design of a vehicle to attract the kids. he was ok to sit on the vehicle after a bit of coaxing. but when the hairdresser came close, he was fully on his alert mode again. and he went hysterical when the hairdresser tried to put on the cloth on him. we tried coaxing him for soooo loong, but he simply refused to have his hair cut.

ahhhhh!!! 

like that hooooowwwwww???

really must resort to ownself cut??

or just let the hair grow long??????

im back to my pre-pregnancy weight!!! v happy!!! 

 ok la, it's the pre-2nd-pregnancy- weight. as for the pre-1st-pregnancy weight.. ermm... im still quite a bit away. 

after giving birth to rayous, i never went back to my pre-preg weight liao. despite breastfeeding, despite going back to work, despite this, despite that, i never did lose that additional 5kg from having rayous. 

really super sad. 

lucky this time round, i have lose all the weight from carrying raythorous! heng ahh! 

i suppose controlling and eating home-cooked food do help??

at least i get to control what i eat and the amount of oil/salt/sugar etc that go into the food. 

remb my first maternity, i relied mostly on junk food to survive. now w a helper, can ask her to cook more nutritious and healthy food for me. but that of cuz translate to higher 火食費 la... haiz 

yeah, so the next target is to go back to the pre-1st-pregnancy-weight.
