Xmas DaY

breakfast for xmas day. hhhaha. 心血來潮 to cook.. 

and then went to pick rayous up from MIL's place, before we headed to nich's place for gathering 

with nich and cheryl's bb boy - immanuel

great catching up with all of them 

and the little boy had enjoyed himself too. haha

WeddinG On Xmas Eve

this yr's xmas eve was a special one becuz we attended wanling's wedding that day which was held at equinox skysuites 69.

peking duck was served during the cocktail session. coool.

with the bride! my friend from sec 1... coming to 20yrs of friendship already. OMG. she stays opposite my mum's block only. still remb in the past, we would meet in the morning to go take bus and go school together. LOL. 

really happy to see her tying the knot. 

and with wanling's mama

had wanted to bring rayous along initially, but in the end did not.. cuz we can foresee if we brought him along, it will mean no peaceful dinner for us. haha. so in the end left him with MIL and we could pak-tor awhile. keke.

and the very special door gifts.... caramel sauce which were prepared by the bride and groom themselves! really special lah. 

and this supeeeer big forever friend bear which was sitting at the reception. yes.. the bride is a super lover of forever friends bears.

and after the wedding dinner and after sending dad home, we had a drove along orchard road to experience the xmas countdown. reminded us of the good old days when we were young and mad enough to sqz with all the pple back then. hahaa. 

and yep, xmas arrived while we were driving down orchard road. keke.

Mum's Bday

it's mum's bday today! 

celebrated w her on 3dec at this restaurant - yi jia south village restaurant at macpherson 

the food is quite good and value for money. only not so good point is that the restaurant is a little squeezy. 

happy birthday mum! 

wishing her good health, longevity and abundance happiness!!

hoho, tmr will be the last day of nov! finally! officially counting down to the festive season!!

well, nov seemed to be a much much faster month than oct. maybe cuz it was a super busy month at work. what to do.. from a strength of 5pax to 3pax and on some days, even 2 pax! WTF. 

anyway, will soon be going on a small trip to bintan to celebrate hubb's bday. 

looking forward. 2nd trip with the rayous and parents-in-law. 

my only fear is the 1hr ferry ride followed by the 1hr bus ride to the resort. 

hohohoo.

MIL's BdaY

it's MIL's bday next sat. celebrated with her tdy at Yan Palace @ Hong Lim Complex

the food really quite average. quite disappointing, coming from a long-time restaurant like this. 

happy birthday MIL! 

really really thankful to her, for helping to take care of rayous. it's not easy. but she has always been so accommodating and kind. nothing i say or do can express my gratitude to her. really got to be extra nice to her. 

wishing her good health, longevity and happiness. 

i should be super emo and distraught the same time last yr. cuz in a few days time, i'll be back to work after a good 4mths maternity. hahaha. yep, i went back to work on 17.11.2015. so fast, coming to 1yr liao! 

hohohoho.

back to work 1yr. nothing much has changed. except for my mentality, maybe. why work so hard when everyone else is slacking their way off? 

很多东西，看不顺眼，也看不过去。很气愤， 但也知道孤军作战是没有用的。 

if you cant beat them, join them. 

yeah.

being in such an environment really de-motivates me. it really really makes me wonder why i should work so hard. it makes me feel stupid. really.

so now, i also stop being a stick in the mud liao. 

just do what i deem fit. of cuz i wont totally slack off. that will not do me any personal good either. i want to improve myself, not becoming lazier and lazier (though such an environment really encourages that. lucky 我还算出污泥而不染. LOL) and i want to be a good example to rayous. 

and must really learn how to let go. 人家是人家的事。顾好自己就好了。

i will really go mad if i were to keep bothering myself w other pple's actions and doings.

SubaRu ChalleNge 2016

haha, the annual subaru challenge is ongoing now. 

went to kpo yesterday... 

30 hours down.. and many contestants still surviving...

and the father and son decided to have a try too. LOL

seriously, at the side, there is 'mini' competition going on. stand and hold for minimum 15mins will get a gift... the longer, the supposed better gifts. but really, the gifts are so crappy that they really dont worth the efforts la, unless u just want to have a taste ot the challenge itself. the gifts are what.. wiper la, umbrella la, seat organiser la.. crappy..

anyway, we revisited the competitors again just now. 50+ hours down and surprisingly still got quite a number of contestants surviving. 

really cannot imagine that while we are sleeping, working, lunching etc etc... those guys are there stuck standing and doing nothing. really OMG.

ok, we r contemplating to visit the competition again tmr lunch time. by then, should be very few contestants left and the winner should emerge anytime le ba? hahaha. we really v free and bo liao hor? LOL. 

yep. shall see who's the survivor for this yr. fighting!

hahhahaha, chu a stunt yesterday. 

bought an iphone 7plus... and sold it on the same day! 

earned a good $498 just like that!

long heard of such stunt, but never really gave a hoot.. mainly due to the fear of not having a line to sign for a new phone in the event the current phone spoils. 

also... not worth the hassle to go to the telco shop just to earn that few hundreds bucks. yes, to me, going to a telco shop is a nightmare.. cuz it's always soooo long q (at least for the starhub shop at PS!). and i really know nuts about the different telco plans etc. yeah, so long the current phone doesnt give me problem, i will just want to maintain status quo, even though im already way out of the contract period. 

but ytd, there was a company promotion and the starhub roadshow was just below my office! then after hearing what my colleague did.. i tot, i should have just done the same! 

and so, yes! earned a decent $498, and got some perks from the re-contracting. and in the event my current phone spoils, i shall just spend some money to buy some basic phone off the shelf. anyway, im never in need of a savvy phone. so long can let me call, sms, take pictures, take videos, do basic surfing will do. nett nett, i should still profit from it. 

best will be that my current phone dont spoil in the next 2yrs la. LOL. 

and today, hubb did the exact same stunt as me! kekekeke. 

yeah, we are both desperate for money now. have to resort to such method to earn additional money. 

kekekeke.

last day of oct! and my 1st and only post in oct. v unproductive these days.

hahaha. 

oct seemed like an extremely long month.. maybe cuz got 31st?

finally coming to an end and nov tmr! woohoo! 

officially counting down to the yr-end! 

some happenings in oct.. 

attended ivan and ele's wedding at qian xi farrer park. 

been one whole yr since i last attended a wedding. the last one should be last nov, at nich and cheryl's wedding. i do like to attend wedding banquets. yay, so though is a red bomb, am still quite happy to receive it. LOL.

ivan and ele are my colleagues from my v 1st dept. ivan was already there when i joined. while ele joined slightly later than me. initially we already tried to make them into a couple, but both were 扭扭捏捏. subsequently they got together and finally tied the knot on 29oct. really very very happy for them. 

and the best thing abt the wedding was, the round-table photos can be taken immediately!! dammnn cool lah. really the 1st wedding that i got back the round-table photo on the same day! hhahaha. niceeeee!

oct also the bday month for jas and ah yan.

had dinner at lenas at paya lebar square and then a visit to yan's husband's new ice-cream shop at paya lebar square level 1. 

yummy yummmy ice-creaam ~ 

also met up w the gals to celebrate yan's bday. dinner at bugis junction nando's followed by dessert at ah chew.

yup.. counting down to year-end! 

hopefully for the better!

a visit to the zoo! 

alamak, how come....? shouldnt i be celebrating at some atas hotel drinking some champagn red wine enjoying good food?! 

yeah. accept it. life before and after parenthood.... IS JUST NOT THE SAME.

anyway, it's rayous's 1st visit to the zoo! hahaha. 

if you could just spot the lion and the lioness at the back...

and the main thing was to bring him to play here! always only play at babyspa.. time to let him try something new and maybe interact with some other kids.. haha 

as usual, he's quite apprehensive at the beginning. got better afterwards but can see that he's still kind of scare.. little scardy cat... 

not bad, good start. at least we tried something new. 

after that, rayous got super tired that he almost immediately fell asleep after we bath and fed him. and then i got superrrrr tired too, that we decided to go home rest.

Happy 2nd AnniVersaRy

our 2nd wedding anniversary!! hoho!

spent the day at JB KSL mall. 

long long loooong time since we last drove in to JB. at least 2yrs liao i think. 

causeway was a little jam that day.

and with the exchange rate of about 1:3, things really are cheaper in JB especially food!! i think the food there almost half price of ours!! v happy! hahahah 

and baby milk powder is half price!! really!!! here one tin about S$45. there, after conversion, about S$25 only!! believe it or not! 

but of cuz, we din buy lah. though the country of origin appears to be the same..well... dont risk it lah. 

bought quite a number of shirts, socks and shoes for rayous though. cheap cheap. LOL 

and then we went for a 1.5hr full body thai massage. shiook!

loveee thai massage! 

slightly cheaper than in sg, but this massage parlour- thai odyssey- is supposed to be the more atas kind, so the charges still quite high. if go to the normal ones, sure much cheaper than in sg. 

the original plan was to spend the night in msia, till we got to know that the annual 7th-month dinner was also on the same night! as said, it's an annual event, how to miss it leh? so in the end, we din stay the night there, but rushed back at night to attend the dinner. ha.

and managed to biao a radio! v happy! i've already had the intention to buy one long ago, so might as well biao it from the event. heng heng huat huat ahh! 

and know what? the next day, we decided to visit msia again! too enticed by the cheap cheap stuff. we went to city square 1st, but the carpark was a nightmare! even the carpark can jam, can u believe it??! we were stuck inside for almost half hr but still could not find a lot! kaoz. 

in the end, we went back to KSL again. diaoo. 

and tried out the virtual reality ride. quite crappy actually. the 1st time the capsule sort of faulty, din really move until the later part. then they gave me another ride for free.

yep. next time will go visit city sq. but probably will not drive in liao. will park at woodlands then walk in.
