大年初二, 回娘家!!

ahhh, 1st time angbow giving! hahahahah

then to grandma's place for ny visiting. this yr, im the buffet organiser again! last year, the buffet came late and the food standard kidda dropped, so I said this yr, will change caterer. but then in the end, the same caterer was engaged lah. kekeke.

they took the initiative to send me the menus and i only compared with a few other caterers. their price is really quite reasonable and there was no rise in the price! exactly the same as last year's pricing! ... so decided to give them a chance again. hahaha.

but this year, im smarter already. requested the timing to be earlier, just in case they arrive late again. also to ensure sufficient time for the food to heat up.

and yes, this year, they were on time!

大年初一

a week ago, today was cny eve. ahhh, how time flies!! a week passed just like that!

大年初一, steamboat at uncle's place. yummmmmmmmm.

but actually now, cant enjoy steamboat as much as in the past already. cux now gotta make sure food is very very cooked and cannot mix the raw food with the cooked food, so utensils wise also gotta be very careful. 80%-cooked pig liver used to be one of my fav steamboat items, but now also dare not eat le. hmmm.

CNY EvE

knocked off at about 1pm on cny eve. then went tiong bahru plaza for lunch and even though it was cny eve, everywhere selling food were packed w pple, even the fast food restaurants!

after lunch did some last min shopping. luckily still managed to get 2 tops from IORA. hohoho. then went home napped awhile before dinner time at parents-in-law's place.

first CNY eve reunion dinner at in-law's place. yum yum!

1st 2 angbows received, from mum-in-law and sis-in-law. hiak hiak.

after that, was count down at Clarke Quay. hubb bought the tix for the river cruise to see fireworks.

@ 12am, ushering in the meh-meh year!!

may 2015 be a better year for all of us!

ReD PacKets

The art of angbow bao-ing! Different values in different angbows meant for different recipients. Lol.

Initially wanted to buy those nice nice angbow packets, since it's our first yr baoing. Most r selling at $1 to $2 per pack. Some at $2 for 3packs. Cheapest I saw was $2 for 7packs at the cny fair near our neighborhood. But in the end bought none lah, since got so many free ones around. Might as well save that $2 as well. Ho ho.
