it's the last day of the month. tmr will be the first working day for feb and it will also be a new beginning for all of us at work for it marks the start of new leadership.

'farewell' to my current team lead. farewell in inverted commas cux she's not leaving the company, but juz transferring to lead another team.. she'll still be at the same location as us and we'll still get to see her everyday.

many changes at work and things that are happening woke me up quite a bit. or rather, to be more specific, one thing happened that totally shook me up from my dream.

it was like a tight slap in my face telling me that im not wad i think im. it hurts... a lot.

kind of unbalance and unfair and unjust.

i start to wonder if they are all blind.

i was watching this HK serial and there was a sentence said by this main character which basically  meant that in the rice shop, all are pigs except for the 4th wife (who is a truly smart and wise character)

my sentiments... except that there dont seem to be a 4th wife around.

it's simply doom for me.

im just a naive stupid girl.

TriCia's 2nD BdaY

sis and tricia dear's bday are both in jan and hence a celebration was held at soup restauarant at vivocity. my 1st time at soup restaurant.. somewhat the same as dian xiao er..

tricia dear and her barney cake... seriously.. i have no idea wad barney is all about previously. i only know it's a purple color dinosaur. but now i do after watching a few episodes and it's quite amazing how every toddler seems to love barney.. but i have to admit it's really educational and yep.. if u have a chance, do watch. quite interesting de..

reminds me of when i was small... a fashion to bring stuff to school to distribute on bday... heheh... and i remb there's always this teacher in pri sch who will buy present and make an effort to bring to the class for u after he knows it's ur bday..

my team lead will be leaving to another team soon.. and so we had a little 'farewell' celebration for her last night at fish & co novena.

recommended to drink this super big cup of freeze. yes. it's superr big.

chatted till abt 11pm b4 we headed our own ways home.

happened to bump into jon tt day @ orchard. hubb and me were walking along that stretch outside centrepoint when hubb received a phonecall frm jon who said he spotted us walking on the street.

asked him where was he and he said he was at orchard central's spinelli. spinelli's at the 2nd or 3rd floor of the mall and he was seated outdoor and hence he spotted us walking on the street. or rather, he recognised hubb's 'pattern' but not sure if the gal beside him was me or not. haa... amazing eyesight isint it?

generally jon's the organiser for our jc mates gathering but as he's entering into the final sem of uni studies, the difficult task of having to organise a gathering fell onto my shoulder.

and so, i managed to get hold of everyone to meet on 15jan for dinner!

the last time we met up was in dec'08? or jan'09? so it's been a year!! i was telling them to pls make all these gatherings more regular and not only once a year..

dinner was at kuriya @ raffles city. the food not tt good leh.. v exp also. but the ambience is v hi-class and they gave us a whole room to ourselves.

met up with the dear gals on 29dec for our (belated) xmas gift exchange. had dinner 1st at flying chillies at this new mall - somerset 313. prior to that, i sincerely had no idea of this new mall and was totally unaware of it's existence. i was like 'somerset 313?' when jo smsed me the location... o well...

after dinner, we proceeded to blue mountain cafe to lim kopi and to carry out our purpose of the gathering. ha.

we were to draw lots to see who get to choose 1st and subsequently, there'll be chances for you to exchange wad u have chosen with someone else, but somehow, we were all happy with wad we got and no further exchanges required.
